Pretty underwhelming and bland, but with some great hits as well.
WORST: Same Old Story, 2001, Sweet Cherries
BEST: Family Feud, Lotus Eater, Title Track
Everything else is mid and not really worth mentioning.
A really good way to follow up their first. It's not as good, but it doesn't even try to be.
This I just a good time. Perth is addicting, and Holocene is beautiful and moving.
It gets its points here for the mood, not for the song writing. That is odd for an album. I quite like it, very very different.
I hadn't written anything about beacuse it does speak for itself. It's an amazing bow on top of the duos discography. It's a sequel to Trench but it isn't Trench 2. It's its own thing.
It's about getting old and stilling having to fight the same battles you fought as a child. It's about finding them easier each time you fight them. Trench was the incident, SAI was the denial and Clancy was the eventual bittersweet acceptance.

This is definitely a twenty one pilots song. It's a bit deeply sad. I like it, it's got these chill high vibes. To me it's a song of regret and defeat. It's also very understated, but I think it works to its advantage. That chorus could've been blasted and overproduced, but Tyler shows a rare restraint. Better than Overcompensate, not as great as Next Semester.
Jack Antonoff commits a murder.
Insensitive lyrics. Nothing even close to poetry. The blandest production I have ever heard. After listening I cannot remember a single melody.
It's giving absolutely nothing. I see why she was going for the academia aesthetic with the marketing. Cause it's boring as hell. Black and white was the right colour pallet. Once again, giving absolutely nothing.
SO disappointing.
Yeah it's not perfect, but the hits HIT. like a truck. 'Amie' alone is worth the score.
rough around the edges but sweet. more entertaining than overcompensate was.
