so corny and not interesting musically. also not cohesive - very different ideas between songs, like as a whole it is giving country or folk and then there is a random intense guitar solo halfway through? like Cats in the Cradle is classic but it does not persist
Although there were some great singles, I didn't really like how this flowed as an album. Maybe I just need to listen to it again but I only really liked the singles
Definitely goes a different direction - some songs end up working, but ultimately fall short of the impact that his previous work did imo. Songs can get repetitive
some of the better song writing in the rap scene by far. Unique sounds and ideas in the songs and even a few great singles. legitimately few things that this album lacks imo. A couple of songs that go against the theme of the rest of the album or dont quite follow through, but other than that, a legitimately astounding album
Solid album, but imo some of the shorter songs seem a little out of place. Still good songs, just kind of a hodge podge
I get that this album is beyond influential, but for now it just doesn't stand out like it probably once did. Lots of happy songs that are fun to listen to, but nothing that I will return to probably (Wouldn't It Be Nice has the catchiness that the rest of this record lacks, but is overplayed lol)
too long. I think Led Zeppelin is one of those bands that, even though they are insanely talented and have so much insanely good music, still find a way to be overhyped. This album is good but still has huge flaws imo. Of course the musicianship itself is near flawless, but this album is so inconsistent. Second half is nowhere near as good as the first in terms of song writing.
So many ideas happening at once. Album doesn't feel coherent and the singles aren't particularly enjoyable either
Some songs are okay, but still nothing really powerful, and there were some songs I actively disliked or itmes I wished the song would end
Save for Thank You and What Is and What Should Never Be, one of the most powerful collections of songs.
Such an influential and powerful album, but there were still songs that I didn't like that much - they either dragged on a little too long or were a little too plain, at least looking back from today's music scene
I have been liking this style, kinda similar to 454, Lancey Foux, Cochise. Some bad songs here, but also enjoy the good songs. Just not strong enough to rank high for me
