Guilty pleasure of mine I don’t care I’m being based asf.
There is some great pop out there I’ll be honest but I don’t think Gorillaz really pulled it off on “Cracker Island” it’s one of the weaker records in my opinion.
Edit: I listened to it a few more times and I enjoy it a lot more therefore I gave it a 75. Excited for the next record
At first I was not a fan but after another listen I think it’s the best thing Gorillaz put out since Plastic Beach.
I think it’s a little better than “Humanz” but once again in my opinion forgettable.
Edit: Damn idk wtf I was on I think this is a pretty solid pop/rock album I like it a lot more now hence the 70.
Plastic Beach is very different from the previous two records and in a good way too. There are some incredible features on this record I mean they got Snoop on the first track. I’ll say this album feels like listening to a long dream it’s flowy and mesmerizing. Gorillaz out did themselves on this one.
Edit: alright after some more listens this record is a banger 100 baby.
Damn Gorillaz really impressed me with “Demon Days” and in my opinion this is my favorite record out of the whole discography they really nailed it. There is no bad song and Doom is sampled CLASSIC DOOM.
First 100 of the year. Incredibly dark and made me feel uneasy. It’s a tough listen in all the best ways. Absolutely love the direction Ethel Cain is going down.
Kendrick always goes above and beyond when he releases new music and the hype is always justified. I absolutely loved this record and hope he keeps bringing amazing music into our lives.
Seems I enjoyed this record more than other people. I think it’s solid and it’s trademark $B. There is one issue I do have no it’s on the song Drag Em To The River it has an awful “Halloween Theme” sample they remixed that sounds like straight dog shit.
It has its highs and lows but overall I still enjoyed this more collaborative album. Denzel never disappoints with his production especially the samples and instrumentals. This record is definitely more gritty and edgy than Melt My Eyez. The features were fun and you can hear the southern hip hop side of Denzel clearly throughout this record. It’s solid but not his best work.
Perfect from start to finish. Personally think this is album of the year so far.
I think this is the best I’ve heard from Billie I was almost in a trance for the whole album. FINNEAS production is phenomenal and really shines through this music.
It’s a solid album I don’t have any complaints for any songs. It’s definitely not as good as Trench but many times better than Scaled and Icy. I enjoyed it and I’m looking forward to this new storyline they’re heading into.
