I think this album gets a little bit too much criticism. Don't get me wrong, it falls in last place compared to his other projects. He said it himself that this was his most experimental album to date, and its evident.'Testing' is driven by psychedelic beats and aims at swaying from a rap genre densely overpopulated with albums featuring zero originality and base-driven work. This is his peak artistry firing on all cylinders, starting with the cover and then from start to finish. Its arguably his best lyrically and serves as his career defining release. The flows are amazing and followed up with beats for all moods and vibes. Nothing else that needs to be said.
Need more of this than the fashion stuff man.
Minimal drop off from Live.Love.A$AP. This album features some of his most well known hits that still hit to this day. His artistry and versatility is on full display and is well complemented by the features on the album.
Frequently find myself coming back to this all the time. Its his best work. The bars are catchy, the beats are amazing and it doesn't overcomplicate things while still being a nostalgic piece.
Just another album that had a 4th grader rapping lyrics he probably shouldn't be reciting in class.
Look, I respect the guy for doing what he enjoys. But this album is as inconsistent as the rating distribution. Its his best project yet, but you gonna hear that its up there with pieces from Kendrick from his 12 year old fan base. He shows glimpses and by glimpses I mean he lets the features on the track.
Anyone else looking forward to the KSI vs. Drake Jamaican Accent PPV?
