I really like how every Boards of Canada project has such a unique sound while still sounding unmistakably like BoC. Since Omens, Elder has been moving toward a less heavy, more progressive, and electronic sound, and this record continues that trend.
If you weren’t a fan of this newer direction and miss their older stoner rock style, you probably won’t like this album.

While in his main LPs like Vanisher or Haunt Quadeca tries to make something bigger than life, records that I like and honestly, AOTY material respectively from their years, I lowkey kinda prefeer how variated and slightly experimental the sound is in SCRAPYARD, a mixtape that I don't need to be in any specific mood to just enjoy and have fun with it. This song perfectly fits that, so me very like it.
