some interesting stuff but overall very bare bones. The ai generated cover does not do this any favours
The first half of this is incredible but falls off greatly on the second half. Dead Presidents pt 2 is one of the best songs in the genre and is a major highlight on album.
consistently good and it sounds very unique but is too brief. I think a longer more complete tracklist with this sound could have been something truly special but instead this album just teases what could have been but wont ever be
honestly not that bad. The beats were solid and this project has some pretty good lyrics but when you think about them for more 2 seconds you realize how corny or untrue they are even if in the moment your like damn thats tuff. Drakes flow sounds very sleepy and the albums biggest flaw is that its kinda boring with not much colour to it. Better than most of his recent output tho
Menacing ass beats with powerful potent rapping. The lyrical content is amazing as well. Red Dust is one of the most captivating songs ive ever heard. Some flows and beats care be jarring and not everything hits as hard as the highlights
Kanye beats sound great but Pharrells??? ehhh he always was a mixed bag for me, I understand why he one of the goats but people need to really start to realize how many wack beats pharrell has and that he is super inconsistent for the conversations people put him in. Higher highs than daytona but also lower lows. The features do a lot for making this sound full of energy despite them being almost entirely spotty but not in a bad way if that makes sense? The final track I pray for you is an epic ... read more
grew off me a bit, used to absolute love this album. Its still great just not as great as i remembered.
Pusha T raps amazing verses over amazing beats. Very straight forward and concise. I do feel that Pusha T cant always hold his own on the tracks and the beats do a lot of the heavy lifting at times. Also it being only 20 mins is essential to why its so effective, any longer and the cracks would begin to show and honestly that isnt a bad thing, so many track lists become bloated for no reason ... read more
having very conflicting feelings on this, i will rate it once I feel like i can properly collect my feelings towards this.
What is for certain is that I love the song AOK and have been playing it on repeat, I prefer Earl's side a lot more, and finally Live Laugh Love connected with me a lot more and I instantly fell in love with it but this one is very much a challenge. There are ideas and sounds that I feel confused about and maybe Ill be able to discern them eventually but for now this ... read more
Absolutely blown away by this album. I heard Navy Blue on a bunch of features, notably The Mint which is one of my favourite songs ever. I decided to check this out on a whim and HOLY SHIT TS SO FIRE!!!. The production is so soulful and calming and Navy Blue has nice soft vocals flowing over these beats. Abstract hip-hop is a very neat genre but often its not the easiest listen due to jarring beats or weird flows and thats totally fine for me but its nice to hear something super accessible ... read more
I have so much to say about this but after writing paragraphs about this I just don't think I can quite put into words what this album means to me, so for now I'll just say that I love this a lot and it mean a lot to me. Also I do think both remaster and og are good but I slightly prefer the remaster with exceptions on a few select tracks
Peggy is one of best to ever do it. The most creative and impressive production ever. Peggy's high energy performances match the rambunctious nature of his beat. Probably my most listened to album ever and it will probably stay that way forever. The tracks are short and packed with interesting moments and by the time you experience one incredible thing you get served another awesome moment and so on until the album is finished. If there were an album to define my music taste it would be ... read more
puzzling and jarring production that will captivate you even on your 10th listen. Poetic lyrics that stick with you and you think about for hours.
What Earl does on this is one of kind and something special, it's such a perfect reflection of one's emotion and life whos going through shit. The sounds and words speak to me so much, this album sounds like me.
