I probably won’t ever listen to his other stuff but this was very enjoyable. Is it in fashion to hate him?

When I listen to a Christmas album I want to feel something special. I don’t know how to describe the feeling but I didn’t get that when listening to this. Also it’s hard to stand out when you do these covers because literally everyone has made a version of it. I will say she did Mary, Did You Know quite beautifully. As a lover of empty pop music even I can say this is enjoyable but it isn’t very inspired. The more I listen the more I like it. Truthfully shes getting swallowed up! This is humble and quaint but also bold and ballsy. She shifts back and forth from subtle and soft to funky and rowdy. If this only makes a ripple it would be a shame. My only complaint would be the artwork. Ashley Ray should be styled bigger and Pauline smaller with the positions switched. Otherwise it’s a near perfect debut that’s both intimate and personal.

Why did I wait almost 3 years to give this a chance? The singles didn’t do it for me but a lot of this album is enjoyable.

About
The best part about music is that it’s art and art is subjective. 🎶
I’d say that I specialize in pop, country and R&B (or at least those are my favorite genres).
