god, so yesterday was the first time i listend to this album. i went to my local record store and bought this since just giving them my CV was pretty awkward. Later that day i invited her to my house and we listend to it together while she was painting flowers on my back.
And now thats its the next day, got i just Wish You Were Here.
i never liten to alternative metal, but i got recomended sleep token to me by a friend?
SHOUT OUT METH
anywho. im not interely sure how to feel about this album. from the litte of the genera i've heard before i have quite enjoyed it. but i dont know about this one. didnt love it or hate it
this was my music taste in 2023 god. only thing i somehow listend too. i can say im a NOW disapointed owner of the vinyl version of this album.
Freaky Toddπ
Malcolm has garnered a cult following on TikTok over the last few months, which has been very positive, allowing him to be more loose and free creatively. I believe that with this stable audience, Malcolm could have taken higher risks on this project. However, to me, it just sounds like any other Todd album. That’s not bad, but I wish it were more.
Yes, I know this is a heavily sex-related album, but I feel the topics being discussed became too repetitive. I would like ... read more
When me and my ex broke up, i woke up the next moring in a horrible mood. i went to school like i needed and the classes we shared together i just ended up staring at her the intire time. i dont know why but i just gravitated to this album in that moment. its weird how you can cry in a room full of people and yet no one notice
Nostalgia, Ultra. a feels like a love letter to the past.
Its primarily a conceptual exploration of a longing for the past, balanced with modern sonics. The project dives into themes of heartbreak, existential malaise, drug use, and personal relationships, all while showcasing raw, poetic lyricism over the alternative R&B production many including me have fallen in love with. you can really hear the promising Artist he once was.
[The weekiscography - 1/10- House Of Balloons]
I've been wanting to get through the peince of art thats the discography of the weeknd, since i know hes good. i just havent listend to him that much other than Starboy and around when blinding lights was popular.
House Of Balloons is dark and eerie in a such a uniqe way i never have really heard before, only thing it vagely reminds me of is Kanye's 2010 album. But this album is also quite raw and sexual. with Abel singing about ... read more
Zushi is a oddball, bizarre collection of songs that somehow yet nicefly fits together.
like most i was exspecting hip hop going into this. defently not Art pop. but i somewhat enjoyed it. the production didnt blow me away or anything but i was calming. i mostly liked this for its lyrican aspect. when it even had lyrics. it did shock me with its samples and features tho, future, A$AP R, French, SZA and probaby more i missed. this has the potential to grow on me, but for now its at the score it ... read more
this was a nice 10 minutes. the music was very soft, smooth, mellow and quite intimate with the song writing. my only setback is that i wish there was more songs really, just felt short.
Im most deffently in the minority on this score so let me be
clear. I didnt find anything super uniqe with the sound, alot of albums ive noticed can be diffrienciated by their sound. Even in the same genera or even sub genera most albums dont have the same feel to it when it comes to pruduction.
But this album for me didnt have that, it just felt like songs ive heard before. And some of the sound effects on this LP feel random, an exsample might be Medicine Burn. Going from very melotic to ... read more
Growing up ive always known the beatels and the album Abbey road has been timeless and iconic. My grandpa is like the biggest fan out there, with a hole music room dedicated to them.
So going into this my exspectations where high and wow they deliverd. This is wonderfull and i enjoyed mostly every second of the album. The writing is creative, fun and very emotinal. The same i can say about the vocal performance. And the production wow, pretty experimental. And EXSPECALLY for its time.

its cute and neet, but nothing i would revisit too. mabye just too one cold and sweet winter night though
this shit is crazy, awsome glitchy boom bap mixed with jazz rap over it god. and vulnerable lines delivered with confidence showing lulamoon isnt scared of what others belive of them. wish i could be like that about my sexuality, i often find myself scared to menton it to new people since i feel like its hard to tell how someones gonna react :,)
Twin fantasy is one of or maybe my favourite album of all time. For me, it makes me feel so human. Nothing else makes me feel so seen and touches me so deeply. that in this chaotic world there’s other out there that can understand how you feel, even if that’s just partly. Since I went through a similar thing when I was 14 years old, I was in a horrible situation with my own “boy”. like how Will Toledo describes throughout the album and how he felt with Cate Wurtz.
And I ... read more
