very reminiscent of the things he did with Silk Sonic, but i hear some early Bruno in here too. i’m digging it!
damn near perfect album, only thing that holds it back for me is ‘The Infamous Date Rape’. but, besides that, low end theory is a must listen for any lover of hip hop. excellent production, great verses, there’s nothing you can really hate here.
very solid track, quite pleased so far with the 3/4 of the singles. i only wish the guitars were a bit heavier.
Animals is full of spacey and ethereal production that honestly makes my head spin, mainly because i just kept wondering how they even began making this in 1977.
although i’ve heard pink floyd’s music before, and even Dark Side Of The Moon a couple years ago, i had never fully delved into their music. after listening to this record, i definitely want to hear to more.
cool teaser, i don’t feel overwhelming positive about it. but, its still pretty good. still extremely hyped for the album.
this is why you NEVER debut a song live and take decades to release it officially. just hooting and hollering, man.
a phenomenal late-career smash by Noel Gallagher.
almost 17 years after Oasis’ debut album, and 2 years after the band’s infamous breakup, Noel Gallagher returns with his highly-anticipated solo album. when I first did a deep dive of Oasis’ discography, i was worried about the Gallagher brothers’ solo careers as usually when rock bands go solo they don’t end up being that good. BUT, i am pleased to be wrong.

beautiful.
pearls is also a contender for one of the best song of all time (in my opinion)
it’s not the worst album this decade like some people are saying… but its also not great either. seriously, this record feels like it was designed to be forgotten right after you finish listening to it. right now, i couldn’t tell you which track i’d even come back to… because i don’t remember any of them.
based on the cover art reveal and trailer, i thought we were in for a return to form. but, as per usual, we just got DOG $HIT.
i’ve always wanted Eminem to make a full concept album, since his earlier work (and some songs later on in his career) have amazing storytelling. BUT, the monkey’s paw must curl. we have a concept album! … but it’s 90% about cancel culture and “”pc police””(?).
i find it troubling that talented rapper like Eminem consistently struggles to put together verses that actually have an impact, or flows that don’t sound like they’ve been ... read more
yes, there’s a lot of cringe bars. and yes, eminem still hasn’t moved on from his cho-pp-y sta-cc-a-to fl-ow. BUT, i think for a good amount of this record, Em does pretty well. there are some seriously good tracks on this thing. if it was cut down to maybe 10 songs i’d say it’s a solid album.
if you’ve never stared out the window listening to ‘Decks Dark’ in the winter time, god bless you.
‘A Moon Shaped Pool’ is probably the most desolate and depressing album in Radiohead’s discography, and my god is it just as good as it is miserable.
on ‘The Slow Rush’ Kevin Parker doesn’t take as big of a musical chance as he did between ‘Lonerism’ and ‘Currents’, but that doesn’t degrade the album. part of me does feel like this record is ‘Currents Lite’, though.
i think Tate Mcrae has a lot of potential, but she needs to find a sound to latch onto and make into her own. i really enjoy tracks like ‘Revolving Door’, ‘Sports Car’, and ‘Miss Possessive’, but outside of those songs (and some others), this record is kinda bland.
for most of the runtime i felt like i was in an H&M or something. it’s not an offensive listen, but it’s not an album ill be returning to very often outside of its highlights.
the hate that Billie Eilish received during this era was so unwarranted. every song that people were hating on at the time is a BANGER to this DAY. thank god that era is over.
the worst man you know is listening to this and posting it on their instagram stories. your job is to kill these men.
besides that, this album is pretty good!
definitely a unique album. super funky and ethereal, and of course the bass is phenomenal. i’d say that there are a lot of highlights on here, but there are also some tracks that are just alright. but, overall, a solid record.
