Radiohead guitarist Ed O'Brien's solo sophomore album is absolutely beautiful. The chord progression, the vocals, the strings, everything is wonderful. I really wish this were longer because it just left me wanting more. The album opens with "Incantations" and immediately sets the tone of the gentle guitars, strings, soft synths, and light percussion. The production is actually incredible. "Rhinstone Eyes" feels kinda creepy and weird, but man, those synths are synthing. "Superfast Jellyfish" Sees De La Soul rapping ... read more
A bit more fun and exciting than "Habibti", and I actually think some of the beats are alright. That's about all the praise I can give it, though.
