I am someone who suffers from a severe case of swiftholm syndrome and not even I was able to enjoy this album. I was really looking forward to this album. As someone who found midnights and the tortured poets department to be pretty solid albums weighed down by a lot of dead weight I was really excited that she was going to engage in more quality control and go for a “bullet proof pop album” with the “story telling of folklore.” That album unfortunately never came. ... read more
