I wish the entire album was like 'Chromatica I'. I felt like all the other songs were just a bit... blah? Which surprised me. Even songs where my thought process was "is that Elton John?" or "oh wow, it's gone all drum n bass" or "oh this is where that meme is from!" weren't enough to get me to want to hear the songs again.
Why didn't I love this album?? I have long been a Jessie Ware stan and thought she was criminally underrated and was happy that at least her podcast was doing well. Usually her albums have at least one or two songs I like however I felt listening to this all the songs blurred into one and none were particularly memorable to me. I purposefully went for a walk *in nature* to listen to this album inspired by Taylor Swift's Instagram page, so was somewhat surprised when the album was not the folk album I was expecting it to be. This was one of those albums where so many songs I very nearly saved to my Spotify album, but there was something missing to stop me pressing that heart.
