NOTE: This isn’t my rating / review of ‘Either/Or’ but just the additional tracks that were included for the anniversary edition of this album.

First off, the first side of this collection of never-heard-before tracks includes three live renditions of tracks from ‘Either/Or’ performed at a 1997 concert in Olympia, Washington. Like all good live performances do, the live versions of tracks like “Pictures of Me” and especially “Rose Parade” ... read more

To match the bare-bones nature of the album, I won’t mince words here. Elliott Smith’s debut album ‘Roman Candle’ is a co-favorite of mine in his discography (along with his 1997 breakthrough ‘Either/Or’) because the simplicity of the record’s sonics allow Smith’s natural songwriting talent to shine through without obstacle. The weirdly ambient guitar tunes like “Condor Ave” or “No name #4” create a vibe that is still ... read more

Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Tusk’ shouldn’t have worked. Commercially, it didn’t. Sitting at a lengthy seventy-four minutes spread by twenty tracks, the album is essentially three separate albums with different themes and especially styles comprised together, led by the cocaine and hubris-fueled experimentation of guitarist Lindsey Buckingham. Especially after the commercial and critical behemoth of ‘Rumours’, ‘Tusk’ came out of left field in every ... read more

'Stray from the Pack' is one of those albums that I cannot explain why I enjoy so much, but i just do. I had never heard anything from Kev Brown before, but clearly a peek into his discography will be required for me. For one, I enjoy the vignettes (for a lack of a better word) that J Scienide puts at the end of many songs as extended outros. These outros could be audio clips from movies, obscure samples from other songs, or whatever the duo feel fits. However, what is most admirable about the ... read more

In the three years since their press-grabbing debut album ‘Songs of Praise’, British post-punk band Shame has caught flack from more critical listeners for “posing” as the working class rockers that people associate with post-punk when in reality the band’s members were raised in posh environments. Regardless of the veracity of these criticisms, Shame focuses their second album ‘Drunk Tank Pink’ on an experience that can be troubling for everyone ... read more

Hello friend, I hope you're having a great day! If you have any interest in participating in a list I'm making, here's the prompt:

Aliens have come down from a previously unknown planet, and touch down right in front of your house. You come outside, and they speak English somehow, but they ask you for one thing- to give them a human album. You have an MP3 player, but it only can hold one album of any length. You can give the aliens any album for any reason, but please explain why you chose the album you chose.

Thank you for answering (if you do), and have a great day!

Hey! It’s Stankysauce under my new alias Alkaline Pink with my new debut Halloween mixtape on my new label Insomnia Café! This new mixtape is by FAR my best material to date and a total change of pace from my last project Analog Autopsy. I am done with that synthwave type stuff to embrace more loud distorted sounds, as I am going industrial this time around. I tried to make it sound as dark and nasty as possible to celebrate the spooky month!
Anyways, I hope you guys like it!

It's okay, and I'm very excited to hear your opinion!

Hey it is me Stanky Sauce under a new alias! I want Alkaline Pink to be a much more personal name with more meaning to the song titles rather than stuff just being as “random” as it was before. Anyways, this is my best song and I can’t wait to see what you guys think! I know you didn't like my last EP, but i'm hoping you'll find more to like in this!
Thank you for 100 followers!
