can't rate it because i haven't been able to give this mixtape a full listen, but man i feel like im just listening to one really long song. its so repetitive.
Classic! One of my favorite albums from my high school years. I haven't listen to the album fully in years and I was surprised to find that there's not a single song that I explicitly didn't like. Very fun listen, from front to back <3
This album gets better with each subsequent listen. Cicada is definitely the best song from the track list, but I also really liked Eastside, Coffee and Tornado.
Biggest downside is how short every track is.
Whimsical, queer and nostalgic feeling. There aren't that many artists that sound like Hemlocke Springs and this whole album is just a delight through and through.
Great debut album that really shows the improvements made in Wildlife.
Andria is one of my favorite song ever. "If I can't love you as a lover, I will love you as a friend" really stuck with me.
I'm usually not a fan of songs over 5-6 minutes, but I really loved The Last Lost Continent. Simply wow.
I was introduced to this band by an old friend ages ago. St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church Blues being the first song I heard and it immediately captivated me. I've yet to find a band that matches La Dispute's lyricism and storytelling.
Even though I can't say I like every song in this album, it's hard to give it a score lower than 100.
Mutilation autonomy
Reclamation of territory
So the first time i tried to listen to plastic death by glass beach i got a really bad depressive episode so i couldn't finish listening to it, but since I bought the cassette and I finally got around to giving it another go.
Maybe it's the benzos that I took, but god this album is so fucking good. And I'm particularly fond of the trans themes that pop up throughout the lyrics.
Yoshi's Island was the first song I heard from this band, and it took me an embarrassing amount of time to realize that the song is about being trans. Since then what was a song that I liked became a song that I love, and I finally came around to giving the album a proper listen.
There's so much going on in each song in this album, but somehow it just works. I struggled to make out lyrics for most of the tracks, but I'm looking forward to reading them later.
Wish I liked this as much as their debut album. There aren't any bad songs per say, but so few of them stood out to me...
Teddy Picker, Old Yellow Bricks and 505 are my favorites of the bunch
I hoped I would love this album only having heard I Don't Care and Headfirst Slide into Cooperstown on a Bad Bet, but nope, I'm afraid this on isn't for me :(
Other than the aforementioned songs I also enjoyed (Coffee's for Closers)
Feel sad because I really just don't like this album as much as I love CHASER...
BODY THE PISTOL is amazing though
This was the first ever CD I owned. Despite the nostalgia I found this album to be less memorable compared to their self titled one.
If I Ruled the World used to be my favorite song ever, but listening to it again i think it's lost its magic on me...oh well
Nostalgia be damned, this album held up better than I could've imagined. Outside of 2-3 songs I didn't find particularly interesting and 2 additional versions of Boyfriend, I think this album is really good for a boy band tv show.
My fav tracks are Boyfriend, Any Kind of Guy, Stuck and of course Big Time Rush.
Good album, but it didn't captivate me as I hoped it would.
PinkPantheress combines the new pop and nostalgic pop sounds quite well, however I felt like half of the songs struggle to stand out.
My favorite track has to be Romeo.
Listened to this album for the first time after watching More Than We Ever Imagined.
I'm shocked it took me so long to listen to Clancy. I kind of dismissed this album (and TOP in general tbh) after trench, but watching the movie I was surprised how many songs from this album I ended up enjoying. Great midpoint between Trench and Breach.
Listened to this album for the first time after watching More Than We Ever Imagined.
A very average album, with one incredible song - Mulberry Street. Seeing the way it was performed live took my breath away.
Nostalgia be damned, this album still slaps. That is until you reach the second half of it. I don't know why that is, but those songs just don't do it for me.
My faves are definitely Heavydirtysoul, Ride and Tear in My Heart.
Very nostalgic listen for me.
I might have had Semi-Automatic's lyrics memorized when I was in high school, but relistening to it now I can't help but chuckle at some of the lines.
Good album if somewhat silly lyrics don't bother you.
Late to the party with this one, but I really loved it. If I found this album when I was in high school this definitely would've changed the trajectory of my music tastes.
I see that Hayloft is the most popular song from this album, but my favorite is definitely Ghosting.
Some improvements and some downgrades.
I'm really confused by Driving Home Homeless' placement in the tracklist. I feel like it could've worked better as a closing track, but oh well.
If you liked Good God! from them i'm sure you'll also like this album.
