Math rock / emo like I've never heard it before. This album has a chill vibe, at least partially due to its elements of neo-soul and jazz fusion! I didn't expect these genres to come together so nicely. A wonderful experience deserving of more attention.
I only listened to this album because I love the cover, but the music is actually great as well! This album is pretty, spacey, feels like a dream, has a 90s vibe at some points... I'm surprised it's not more popular.
I heard the first song a while back and finally decided to check out the full album. The first track is the standout by far, but there's some other good songs here as well. Unfortunately, there's also a fair amount of "didn't care for it" songs, meaning I can't rate it too highly, but it's a decent album all around
Amazing but I hate that it isn't available anywhere except Youtube. I need this on Spotify so bad
This album almost feels specifically made for my tastes. It has the pretty instrumentals of the midwest emo genre but it's also fun and danceable. Love it!
This wasn't my first time listening to this album. I wasn't very impressed with this album the first time. What was I thinking? This album is a masterpiece. The only thing stopping me from rating this higher is the fact that this isn't something I'd want to revisit much, but as a singular experience this is AMAZING.
AOTY users on their way to give both the "best artworks" and "worst artworks" tag to every new album that comes out
Anyways, sadly I didn't like this as much as everyone else seems to (besides the last two songs, which I loved), but I see the appeal in it. It's pretty good, and very touching as well. I can see this growing on me in the future.
Indietronica I love you so muchhhhh
This is a very fun album! I can see myself dancing the night away to every song here...
Pleasant indie rock, relaxing while still being energetic enough to keep me engaged. Not 100% my thing but it was nice to listen to. Very much recommend to those who like Built to Spill and stuff like that.
I was a bit of a 21p fan back in the day, around... maybe a year or less before this album came out. I was never big on them, but I liked Vessel quite a bit, and Blurryface had some good songs too. I never checked out this album until today. Yes, I put it off for literal years. I've spent literal years hearing people say this is their best album by far. Even those who hated Vessel and/or Blurryface like this album. So does it live up to... the hype? YEAH. This blew me away. I wasn't expecting ... read more
Perfect Situation is one of Weezer's best songs period, I have a bit of a soft spot for We Are All on Drugs, and Freak Me Out is pretty interesting because of how un-Weezer it sounds. Everything else is mediocre at best and completely forgettable at worst.
I see pretty much an equal amount of positive and negative reviews here, and I'm not surprised by it. There's a specific aesthetic (would "theatrecore" be the correct term here?) that some people really like and some people really hate. I lean more towards liking it but I'm not big on it. I think your opinion of this sound will be a big determining factor on if you like this album or not.
This starts off a bit rough. Well, "The Scab" is a very fun and entertaining song and ... read more
Great indie rock with a darker, somewhat atmospheric sound. It reminds me a lot of Interpol with a bit of The Killers' debut. I recommend it!
I love the sound and vibe of this album! My only complaint is that it got a bit boring around halfway through (my top 5 tracks would just be the first 5 on the tracklist) but it maintains good enough throughout that it didn't drag down my score much.
Terrible by FOB standards, but removing the context of the band's past albums... eh. I really like Wilson but I don't care for the rest of it
Das Verlangen, the title track, and Ausflug are quite good songs but the rest is kinda boring
Very futuristic and exciting! A must-listen for dance punk fans. Also Broken might be nearly a 10/10 song for me it's SO GOOD!! Bathroom Gurgle is very good also
Long-Time Blur Fan Finally Gives Oasis a Chance (Not Clickbait!). My past self from about 4 years ago would be shocked and appalled if he knew he'd eventually listen to an Oasis album and actually enjoy it. My only real complaint is that nearly every song goes on a lot longer than they have to. Other than that, these songs are pretty good! Blur still way better though L + ratio + listen to Parklife instead lol
Does anyone else think the music video for Love From the Other Side strongly resembles the video for Dashboard by Modest Mouse? There's even an outright reference to MM for a second when they're showing the books... and they're the only band referenced that isn't pop-punk, if I remember right... weird... OH right! I'm reviewing this thing!
Fall Out Boy has had their highs and lows. Folie a Deux is one of my favorite albums of all time. Infinity on High is quite good as well. But every other ... read more
