For whatever reason, Lucki’s music has always been a tough pill for me to swallow. He’s by far one of my favorite rappers, but weirdly enough, I’ve never enjoyed a Lucki project on first listen, very much including Body High.
I went into my first listen excited to hear amazing production, but got basically none of it on my first few run throughs. However, as has been the case with every Lucki project I’ve heard, the beats and vocals grew on me with every listen and now I ... read more
Just a shot in the dark, some pure conjecture here, but I think we might need to start reading the signs
Felt like checking this out since I feel like a lot of ppl have this cover as their pfp, but I was NOT expecting this level of pure buns from an artist I already liked
On this album, Peggy presents us with a palette of instrumentals that are so eclectic and all over the place (even for JPEGMAFIA standards) that it’s borderline overwhelming.
I’d say this is DEFINITELY getting overhated. Yes, it’s a step below most other Peggy projects, but there’s a lot of, as the title would suggest, experimental goodness in here. Honestly I think this could be right up there with Peggy’s other work if he cut out all the rapping and made this a ... read more
First time listening to a Jane Remover side project, and it was about what I expected. The only experience with Dariacore I’ve had is Scaring the Hoes, which is kind of influenced by the genre. I honestly think it’s a weaker project in Danny and Peggy’s discographies because I don’t love the production, so I wasn’t going in expecting to love this album.
It sounded similar to the Digicore insanity of Revengeseekerz, just with a lot more going on in a less polished ... read more
The album cover is a picture of his mom and the first track is titled Hoe Phase.
It’s crazy that this was the first time I ever listened to a Drake album in full. For how incredibly popular of an artist he is, and especially for how many Drake songs I already listen to regularly, he just doesn’t have same the artistic drive or talent (just off the top of my head) of a rapper like Kendrick Lamar or Pusha T that justifies going of your way to listen to an entire one of his projects.
And just a random thought, how is this man STILL dragging basically every beef ... read more

I don’t even think this album is that good but for some reason I’m genuinely addicted to STREET CAR. SOTY candidate fs
I thought this guy did rage or smth wtffff
Edit: unfortunately no score change. I really wanted to like this one more, considering how much I love Edward as an artist outside of music. For sure like 5 or 6 true bangers on here, but that’s not cutting it on a 26 song album. But then again, I’m honestly not THAT mad at not loving this, since he’s literally saying “This song could’ve been fire, but I don’t have enough motivation” in the album. Still gets ... read more
Friendship ended with chopped and screwed, vaporwave is my new goat genre
I really have no idea what I just listened to. The rabbit hole that led me here started off with me getting recommended by YouTube the song Dreamz Wishez, by SpaceGhostPurrp of all artists. It was gas, but that’s not the important part. A few comments were talking about Vaporwave, which is a genre I hadn’t heard of before. Apparently it’s internet based evolution of chopped and screwed music, which ... read more
This definitely stands as the most unique album in the JPEGMAFIA canon. While he’s never been afraid to lean into his singing voice on projects like All My Heroes are Cornballs and EP2, The Ghost~Pop Tape is certainly his most melodic, autotune focused release.
I feel like the main reason why people think this album is so great is because of the vibe and atmosphere it has. The ambient, nocturnal soundscape conveys the depressing, lonely environment this album was originally made in. ... read more
Could honestly be Peggy’s best if it wasn’t so grotesquely hit or miss. The runs from tracks 1-5 and 14-17 are genuinely perfect, while a solid 4 or 5 of the rest of the songs are hardly listenable.
Overall it’s still amazing, and as long as the production isn’t some BS, the harsh yet cloudy and trap-inspired beats bang.
So whimsical and surreal it distracts me from how I’m psychologically incapable of talking to girls.
Also headboard is pure guitar heaven
Earl and Mike are rapping on trap beats. On paper, this should be one of the best releases of the year.
Unfortunately, it seems like they're both competing to find the sleepiest, most uninspired flow possible throughout the entire runtime. It results in an hour long nothing burger of a double album.
