a mess. like everything else she's ever put out.

but i guess its not the worst thing ive ever heard

POiSON GiRL FRiEND - MELTING MOMENT

I really enjoyed this EP, and that's pretty much a given fo anyone who likes 90's production. Very underrated and very dreamy. The project has some extremely good songs, but one or two of the songs are a bit bland, which does drag the entire project down since it is pretty short, but i'm still gonna give it a high score because the majority of the songs here are some of the best i've heard in a while.

people only like this song because of the nicki line, and it is a good diss.

but it really doesn't carry this extremely mediocre song full of terrible lines and bad writing. embarrassing intro too.

better than that mess big foot though, but that's not really hard to top.

it'd be okay if she removed the weird spoken outro.... nicki stop ruining your own career

Fiona Apple - When the Pawn...
100

Now THIS is what i'm talking about. This album is where Fiona Apple really shows her true capabilities as an artist. She is bold, she is harsh, she is honest, she does not filter her words. I love how honest Fiona is about the things she discusses. She really doesn't beat around the bush on this record. This is one of the best examples of Piano Rock that i've ever encountered. Piano Rock is a subgenre that can be really hard to nail, and it can sound boring or repetitive at times but this album ... read more

Fiona Apple - Tidal

This album is an amazing introduction to Fiona Apple, a great starting point for anyone who wants to get into her music. It's also a splendid debut that sheds light on some of the things that Fiona does great in her music. Her ability to write a truly amazing angry song, like "Sleep to Dream" is truly unmatched. Speaking of that song, it's an amazing opener. like WOW. This album has it all. Slow, sad songs, angry songs, sassy songs, and happy songs. It's an amazing display of Fiona's ... read more

boygenius - the record

Boygenius is an amazing indie rock group that truly captures that melancholic feeling in a way that not a lot of other artists quite can. This album displays themes of the importance of friendship in the most beautiful way, and the love that Julien, Lucy and Phoebe share for one another just ooze out of the songs and visuals. It's really moving, and makes me think of my own friendships that i cherish. Some songs also display themes of looking back at past relationships in regret or sadness, or ... read more

Honestly, what more could you want from an EP? This EP has it all. It has the slow moments, it has the loud moments. This is a perfect little indie rock bag that I think anyone can get at least a little enjoyment out of. Boygenius is a one-of-a-kind band. It's a supergroup of 3 artists that make amazing music on their own, and then they're brought together and they don't clash, oh no. They merge and create the most wonderful art. I love this EP.

Admittedly, it took me a while to warm up to ... read more

Beyoncé - BEYONCÉ

In celebration of this album turning 10 just a few days ago, I relistened to this album and it STILL BANGS. I feel like this was the start of the truly great era of Beyoncé. The start of the amazing 3 album run that is this album, Lemonade and Renaissance. This album blends elements of Pop, R&B, and Hip Hop into a project that feels deserving of the Self-Titled title. It is the most 'Beyoncé' album there is.

I've loved a lot of cuts from this album since it came out, but it ... read more

Olivia Rodrigo - GUTS

Okaaaayyy yeah. I'm not gonna say that there are no good songs on this record because there are. "all american bitch" and "Vampire" are career highlights for her. But what the hell is the rest of this album? I respect her attempt at making a rock record, but it just doesn't sound very genuine. It sounds pretentious and forced. What the actual fuck is "bad idea right?" thats a whole mess. And the ballads are boring.

I'm sorry if you like this album but it's mostly ... read more

This album is one that was better when it was first released. I feel like the novelty has kind of worn off by now and all that's left is this somewhat bland pop record that doesn't have a lot going for it. It delivers some more emotional songs and ballads than most other pop artists would do, and it works at times but sometimes it feels repetitive or cringey. I can see the clear Taylor Swift influence. Especially with the direct interpolation on "1 step forward, 3 steps back"

Nicki Minaj - Pink Friday 2

Nicki has always been one of the few rappers able to put out a compelling body of work. Pink Friday & Pinkprint are some of the best albums of their respective years. Nicki's rapping abilities are truly unmatched, and it's no wonder that there are some amazing lines on this record.

This album lacks character and amazing production though... I don't know why she felt the need to call if Pink Friday 2 because Pink Friday is way more poppy and bubblegum-esque than this very hip-hop record. ... read more

Lana Del Rey - Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd

This album is perfect. It's everything i've come to love about Lana and more. I first heard this album at a listening party at my local record store and i've been absolutely in love with it ever since. Sitting with my friends head in my lap and listening to Fingertips for the first time will always be a core memory for me. This album feels personal and vulnerable with dancable moments mixed in. it's absolutely everything and it's perfect. This better win AOTY.

Lana Del Rey - Blue Banisters

The release of Blue Banisters surprised me a lot when it came out, since Chemtrails had come out just a few months earlier. I love this album, it got me through a difficult time and it truly is THE autumn album. It feels like Chemtrails sister, and she is waaaaay better. This album is conversational, daring and relaxing and emotional in all the best ways.

There's truly nothing more comforting that walking through the autumn leaves on a rainy day with this album playing in your ... read more

Lana Del Rey - Chemtrails Over the Country Club

Chemtrails Over The Country Club is an album i listen to a lot because of the same reasons as NFR. It's a very easy listening experience, and it's nice and cohesive. However, it's not as strong as NFR, or most other Lana projects. The album is a bit short, and some songs feel out of place or just bland & boring. I do enjoy listening to it however.

Some songs on this record are career highlights, but it also includes some of Lana's most boring work. It's nothing too offensive, just... A bit ... read more

Lana Del Rey - Norman Fucking Rockwell!
90

A lot of people see this record as Lana's magnum opus. I don't agree, but that doesn't mean that i don't completely understand where they're coming from. As a body of work, this is easily one of Lana's stronger records, and it's one that's always a joy to listen to. The sonic cohesiveness of this album is truly stunning and the fact that this didn't win a AOTY grammy is a FUCKING CRIME.

I come back to this album a lot, more than most other Lana records, but it's not my favorite. I think the ... read more

Lana Del Rey - Lust for Life

This feels like a breath of fresh air for Lana. The lighter mood feels new and fresh, and the aesthetics and photoshoots for this album are some of the best of her career. I do love the sound of the songs on this album, but i can't give it a very high score because of the amount of mediocre songs on this record.

She has a lot of collabs on this record, and while some of them work really well (Summer Bummer & Beautiful People), some of them just don't really do it for me (title track & ... read more

Lana Del Rey - Honeymoon
87

Honeymoon feels like the end of the "old" Lana albums, it's definetly my favorite out of them. Hpneymoon brings back the glamorous aesthetics from Born To Die but still has the rough-around-the-edges feel of Ultraviolence. It's a perfect blend of the two albums and it feels like she's closing the book on the 2012-2015 saga. It feels glamorous and dark in just the right ways.

I feel like this album has some of the best cohesion of all Lana albums. The tracklist flows well together, ... read more

Lana Del Rey - Ultraviolence

Ultraviolence is a record that shines with it's aesthetics and sonic palette. The soft rock to dream pop soundscapes to the harsher sguitar solos that this record possesses create a dark, moody world that i like to listen to during cold winter nights. Lana sheds the layers of hollywood glamour and adapts a more dark and rough-around-the-edges persona. The new less glamorous persona can especially be detected in songs like "Fucked My Way Up To The Top", "Money Power Glory" ... read more
