This is an amazing album! I perfect example of Deep South hip hop. I gotta add this to my record collection.
this was surprisingly mid, but it could’ve been worse. There are some ok songs
The highs are high but a couple of mid songs bring down my rating. This album reminded me how much I loved Denzel and Memphis style rap.
One of the most calming beautiful albums of all time. Definitely my favorite album out of japan, rivaled only by Nujabes’ other album, Modal Soul. A masterpiece full of legendary genre mixing between soul, jazz, Lo-fi, and hip-hop.
this song would’ve been fire with a “HEEEEEEEEE’S BAAAAAAAAACKKKKK” at the beginning
not only is the low end theory extremely iconic, and a staple of old school hip hop, but it is also straight heat
genuinely how do people listen to literally broken English popslop with too many fucking effects and go “yup this is SOTY.” It’s funny because katseye level of lyricism if I first heard this on the radio I would assume that the singers didn’t even speak English.

Controversial opinion but I feel like I prefer channel ORANGE better. That being said this is still a beautiful R&B album. It's crazy how far he's shifter from his original start as a rapper in Odd Future.
