JID - God Does Like Ugly
85

Solid JID album. Definetely not at the same level as the Forever Story but pretty damn close. And while the middle of the album kinda dragged, the beggining and end were full of bangers. And the feature list was absolutely stacked, I mean we've got Clipse, Vince Staples, and Westside Gunn? Great album.

Tyler, The Creator - CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST
90

CMIFYGL is definetly my favorite project by Tyler, the Creator. It loosely follows the storyline of a rich young man named Tyler Baudelaire, who is everything he could ever want, money, private jets, a penthouse, and as very emphasised by Tyler's persona, tons of boats. But all of these riches distract him from the one thing he misses: L O V E . But luckily while in Geneva, Switzerland he falls in love with a girl. And she loves him back. But the one problem is she already has a boyfriend. ... read more

Tyler, The Creator - CHROMAKOPIA
90

Chromakopia is by far one of Tyler, the Creator's best projects so far. He perfectly creates a revealing album showing the "real side" of him. During the first 8 tracks he dives into some of the many troubles throughout his life, such as aging, avoidance of having a child, inability to stick to one partner, paranoia of the paparazzi, and much more. But on the crucial track of Take Your Mask Off, Tyler looks around at others who have deep secrets or problems that cause them to ... read more

Tyler, The Creator - DON'T TAP THE GLASS
87

While DON'T TAP THE GLASS isn't a usual Tyler, the Creator album it is still a highlight for music this year. On this album Tyler has decided to "leave his baggage at home" and make an album that's sole purpose is to make the listener get up and dance. And at this he succeeds. On DON'T TAP THE GLASS Tyler abandones his amazing storytelling on some of his other albums and goes for an almost IGOR like dance album. With features and appearances from Pharell Williams, ... read more
