such a beautiful yet simple album. i didn’t think much if it at first, when compared to his other bolder albums, but it’s soul soothing. most songs are just his voice, a guitar or banjo, and female backing vocals. which does a wonderful job of drawing the listener in, so they can appreciate the lyrics. his hushed whisper singing about christian tales and caring for people really warms my heart.
