yall shitting on this like its coi leray. Anyways its lyrically meh and its production can be better but its really not that bad. If death wasn't heinously redundant at its chorus it would be like an 80-90 song. Anyways aoty chill on the bjork comparisons its annoying.
Chorus is kinda meta, but the production and artistry is rlly good.. im super excited for her stuff.
here's the thing about this record, it's really really meta and I think that's okay. For being self-produced it's alright, the lyrics are it's worst area, there are some really cringe lines. Honestly extremely underrated so im being nice to it, it gets repetitive after awhile and the vocal delivery just kinda feels same-y. I'd love to see trytoseeghosts explore production styles and develop his sound more, especially since most of the record could be read as a brakence or heylog clone. ... read more
maybe it needs to grow on me but this whole album feels very one dimensional. Artistically its trying to be something and maybe the drastic contrast from his old music is worth the hype, but I think it's not very self aware as a project yet. I really can't wait to hear more from him though.
I yawned but kind of a yawn thats like oh maybe itll be a good ass full yawn but then you just get a real shallow yawn and its disappointing.
yeah the record was kind of meh. Aries took some great things from his previous album, but also removed a lot of great, without fixing any bad. This album kind of turned him into this emo rap pop tryhard in some way, which sucks because the feel, aesthetic, and songwriting of Welcome Home is genuinely amazing, i hope he goes in the right direction from here.
Probably the best collection of hyperpop songs ever. The meaning, aesthetic, production, and joy is all just overwhelming in such a good way. The only thing keeping this from a 100 is the production gets sloppy at some points and Underscores is still very young in vocal delivery. Amazing all tens perfect wow yes amazing
Brakence's first release was a very large conglomeration of pop punk angst, and while amazing, it felt like his vocals were the only thing separating him from a sea of mediocre lyrics and hyperpop production style. Hypochondriac is less mainstream, but a significant purple cow of beautiful emotion and ear candy. Completely produced by himself its an actual work of art. It takes the good from his past catalogue and blends it with even more good.
Now the album isn't without it's flaws, it does ... read more
A under-developed experience of indie pop mush, saved by Eden's amazing vocals, production and lyricism. In contrast to his previous record "no future," I can't lie he's only moving in the right direction. Unraveling topics such as death and dancing away ghosts, despite him clearly stating it was more of a compilation of past experiences, it feels like a cohesive story. The production is unmatched, with his vocals being used as a tool to provide movement to every track.
