I loved this 20 minute single titled SAUNA, can't wait for the album.
All seriousness, this whole LP is a breath of fresh air, unfortunately though it's just a breath. No thematic consistencies, no narrative, and Ramzoid only experiments from his comfort zone a tiny bit, resulting in a lot of same-iness. Doesn't help this record is a 20 minute album. This seems like Ramzoid has finally figured out what the hell he is and what hes doing with his own music, now it's time to explore outside his ... read more
Really good collection of hits that are feel very comprehensive to each other. Also, Ryan's clearly improved a ton and has begun making these very formidable tracks that have a bit of meaning to them and aren't just trying to be "something" if that makes since. I enjoyed this record a lot.
The story, atmosphere, production, and limitations that were churned into possibilities with this project are so crazy. Definitely a AOTY contender for me and many others.
Edit: it's good, but I dropped the score a bit cause as it sat with me i can to dislike some elements like the vocal performance
I enjoy living in this era where Lil Uzi Vert is pushing Hip Hop further. Main critique is redundancy and also wish the mix on some tracks were better, gets a little crowded.
Edit: why in the world did I rate this an 80 LOL. This shit is really under-developed and not a good exploration of the potential here.
Glad I got to this before anyone else cause I'm going to give it hella mercy.
This is a redundant, boring, cringy, unoriginal collection of phoebe bridgers ripoff music but with a devoid of any care past shallow teenage analogies and themes.
Still, I see the appeal, I see the talent in the vocals and the care in the project.. I also see a young songwriter that was just thrown into the industry with no direction. There is something here, but it'll take a while to be found.
I honestly think the best part of this album is the mixing and mastering, it is so ear candy and so great. Obviously the vocal delivery, lyrics and theme, and instrumentation is so fun,, you can tell Polachek is an insanely talented and experienced songwriter. Great !
anyone hating on this is missing the vibe
The only thing this album has preventing it from getting to 100, would be its redundancy.
at first i was like bruh but now I'm happy they went alt-rock instead of staying electronic
