More smoke and mirrors from the Flygod- another artistic, yet hardcore project from WSG.
Decent, not great album, by Kanye. Questionable lyrical content at times, but cool sonically.
Pretty much standard fare from Spitta. Cool beats, cool flows, and cool lyrics. However, all Curren$y’s projects feel the same at this point, not to mention some sub-par features.
Not bad, but gets repetitive after a while which makes the back end of the album less enjoyable
Definitely some bangers on here, Ski's flow is infectious
Despite the ridiculous amounts of repetition, both in the beats and the lyrics, the fact that most of Carti's verses were glorified ad-libs, the album being too long, and it overall being more of a playlist than an album I still found this tape to be moderately enjoyable, even though it was tiring to hear extremely similar songs throughout the project.
Pretty good project, I wish it would have been a little longer honestly. Some of the songs I felt weren't as sharp lyrically as Westside Gunn's been in the past, but overall good tape. I really liked WSG over some of this production.
The first 4 songs were bangers but the switch to lowkey/romantic songs for the rest of the project was mediocre to say the least. Not sure what happened on this album considering the first Godfather album was so good.
Pick It Up and Japan are this albums only saving grace. I'm not sure who told Dex it would be a good idea to sing.
