My first dissonant death metal listen; I was intrigued by the album's artwork and title.
"Cutting the Throat of God" is an excellent introduction to the aforementioned genre, dense and dissonant, yet still digestable. However, despite the album's magnificent opening track, it unfortunately fails to reach that level for the rest of the album, in my opinion.
A groovy, authentic sound held back by a severe lack of variety and monotonic vocals.
Aside from the opener and closer, the album is quite bland despite its instrumental prowess... a nothing sandwich, if you will.
