Excellent production

Favorite songs are Locals, Cops and Robbers, Old Money Bitch, Seventyseven Dog Years

Least favorite song You Don't Even Know Who I Am (even though I enjoy the concept, I don't like the song)

Mac Miller - I Love Life, Thank You

Just gorgeous, all of the flows come out so smooth. There’s so many funny little bits in there and it doesn’t really take itself seriously despite being a lovely album. Mac Miller may be the goat

STOMACH BOOK - GOODNIGHT HYPNOPOMP
96

Powerful, catchy, and a little eire at times. Makes great use of so many emo and noise elements. Though the mixing could be better, the instrumentals are very creative. The use of unique noises and circus-like melodies capture such a good vibe for the whole listen.

Favorite tracks: Fukouna Girl, BAMBI, But Not For Me, Paper Dolls

ivycomb - REBIRTH

Ivycomb’s production and singing has greatly improved in such a short time between this release and Raised By Aliens. It feels like they’ve started to get acquainted with a style that works for them after a sort of awkward stage between RBA and Rebirth. I cannot stop listening to this peak, it uses so much of what Ivy does well to their best ability. Definitely the best vocal performance we’ve seen from Ivycomb, and overall the most fun album I’ve ever heard. ... read more

115hollowfied - I H8 Cucks

This style is so unique, I love these vocals. Some of the humor falls flat, really all of it. Sexually Damaged is definitely the highlight of the album, it’s a very good take on a sort of indie pop that I did not expect on an album like this.

You don’t hate me do you? 🥺

Kanye West - BULLY [June Sampler]

I hate to say it….. this is peak. It’s setting up to be one of Ye’s best albums, I absolutely adore the instrumentals here. Preacher Man is probably his best song ever, Beauty and the Beast is a fantastic track as well. Damn is okay, it feels kinda like filler but it for sure isn’t bad. I wouldn’t skip it but it’s far from the best song on this EP. It’s really a shame Ye is so bad that people feel the need to let it cloud their judgement of a great ... read more

Willy Rodriguez - Bad Therapists

Fantastic EP, Willy Rodriguez has an incredible voice and uses it as an instrument so well. The riffs here are lovely, and the noises used fit the style so well.

Lil Darkie - yang
90

I really like the angle Lil Darkie is going with his music. Though I did really like his older stuff, I think his skill translates very well into Neo-soul. Some of the genre clashes here were a bit strong but towards the end it got a lot better. This man can’t miss

Frankie and the Witch Fingers - Trash Classic
80

Although it does feel a little samey, the vibe it has throughout is very unique. I love the riffs in it. I’m not that much of a punk listener but I quite like the art rock direction it takes, sort of feels like a mix between more traditional punk and some Radiohead.

Favorite song: Fucksake

Beach House - Depression Cherry

A genuine masterpiece of atmosphere and emotion. The instrumentals of this album are so unique but familiar and comforting at the same time. The level of polish here is amazing too.

Mustard Service - Zest Pop

it was pretty good, I don’t really have any thoughts on it though

twenty one pilots - Blurryface
98

Probably TØP’s second best album, it does everything that makes them great so well and has some of their most popular songs on it for a reason. It progresses so nicely while still having such diverse ideas. The lyrics can be a little cheesy, but what TØP album isn’t? If anything, the lines like “I wasn’t raised in the hood but I know a thing or two about pain and darkness” just add comedic value to their already upbeat songs. What’s not to love ... read more

i listen to vinyl mix it good

In Gloom - In Gloom II: True Violence and All the Terror That Comes With It
80

It’s definitely an interesting listen. I love the inspiration it takes from other genres and the unique samples used, but some of them come off a little unfitting for the atmosphere, and took me out of the listening experience for a moment. Despite this, it’s very consistent, and the screaming is very strong.

Tunde Adebimpe - Thee Black Boltz
89

I love the energy here, Tunde Adebimpe has such a skill for melody and makes this whole album feel alive and full. It certainly gets weaker as it goes on, but the tracks towards the front make up for that. I really like how well his voice fits the style he goes for as well.

Candy Claws - Ceres & Calypso in the Deep Time

Boring and samey. The vocals are some of the worst I’ve ever heard from the raspy delivery to being so quiet that I can’t make out a single word. EQ AND MASTER YOUR MUSIC FOR THE LOVE OF GODS

The Absence - Enemy Unbound
85

For sure an interesting record. I really like the lighter metal instrumental with the heavier vocals. I know that’s not a super popular thing but mixing styles in metal has always been something I like. This album is alright in consistency, even the interludes are solid tracks.

Paris Texas - MID AIR
95

An absolutely fantastic take on the genre of rap rock. Everything here feels so full and polished. The consistency is fantastic and the albums flows together extremely well. This is also the perfect album cover for the LP, actually feels like motorbike music if that makes sense.

Favorite songs: Full English, Lift Off, NüWhip, fuck it the whole album, this thing is so consistently great.

SOPHIE - OIL OF EVERY PEARL'S UN-INSIDES
80

Extremely interesting in what it offers. Not many projects I've heard have been able to break free from the usual confines of genre like this album. I loved most of the things this album had to offer, even if a couple of the tracks fell completely flat. That being said, the cuts on this album are phenomenally strong.

Favorite song: Faceshopping
Least favorite song: It's Okay to Cry

This album is just a heartbreaking masterpiece. The ideas in here are so unique and the execution is perfect. This is the type of music you feel in your chest, I love it.
