Such a great, atmospheric, and mystical project. The vibes this gives off are almost like no other. It’s such a beautiful listen and really feels like a fantastical adventure.

This is so cool :) I love the vibes and production of this album. It lacks a little on the melodies but I can forgive that. I really enjoyed listening and the album cover is just adorable.

Alex Unknown - Task Manager

It’s a very neat and innovative sound. That’s probably its major strong suit, the music isn’t really anything I’d listen to most of the time but it’s so fresh and new that I sorta love it.

Louie Zong - Seven Snake Songs

I don’t think I’ve ever listened to a more relaxing album, it would be perfect to read to. There really isn’t much to say other than just how cozy every song is. ABSOLUTELY recommend even if you don’t like Lo-fi and what not.

Injury Reserve - By the Time I Get to Phoenix

Maybe I listened to it wrong but I really did not like this.

Massive Attack - Mezzanine

It’s a very interesting style. I’m honestly surprised something this unique and modern-feeling came out in 1998, it feels like an indie project from the 2020s. The vocals are absolutely lovely for the style too, they fit so well. The production uses so many neat instruments too, great album :)

Woodkid - The Golden Age
97

I don’t think I’ve ever heard an album, maybe not even a song, that does what The Golden Age does so well. It’s such a unique feeling and each song does it so well. There’s this grandiose atmosphere that I’ve seen attempted but never successfully until this album. Three songs to make me cry, title track, Run Boy Run, and Boat song. Phenomenal album.

Ewy - With Your Body Beside Me
79

I feel like Ewy was going the right direction with this album but it fails on a lot of the finer details. They have a nice voice, but I feel like their performance of the lyrics needs some work. That being said, the instrumentals here are just beautiful, and I absolutely love the modernized feel they have while still having that feeling similar to styles like Bardcore.

Dare I say, my favorite rap album? Every song manages to balance being a banger with having an ethereal feel to it and a strong set of lyrics. The instrumentals and melodies here are just like no other. Denzel has one of the most uniquely beautiful styles I’ve ever seen in rap.

Ivory Rasmus - Kintsugi

It’s not necessarily bad but I really didn’t enjoy the listen. The last song is beautiful but that can only go so far when the rest of the album struggles to stand on its own feet.

Nah bro this aint it. It’s not even that I dislike British rap, this just fails on every level other than having that one song that Gyatt4Gyatt came from.

A very good and emotional album, a slight different approach from their older works but I feel like the talent carried over.

De La Soul - The Grind Date (20th Anniversary Edition)
78

While it’s not their best work, I do love the vibe that this album offers. If you like 3 Feet High and Rising you’ll definitely like this. It does drag a little, but a lot of albums do, that’s no unique problem. Overall, just a nice, solid album.

Favorite song: The Grind Date (Title Track)

ashley ninelives - eagle creek

This whole album is such a mesmerizing experience. Maybe my favorite indie rock album of all time. The name is also probably the most fitting name for an album of all time. Eagle Creek feels like a summer camp you’d have the absolute time of your life at and this album feels the same way. Just such a great vibe all throughout.

Favorite song: The F.B.M.

I saw the uncensored cover and I hate it now

Welcome back to Turtle listening to an album because the cover is funny part 1000

This one I feel was missing a lot, a couple songs carried nearly the entire album. The vocals and remixes were really not my thing, but Russel’s production is still amazing. Definitely not their best work but it was enjoyable.

Favorite song: Just Be Competent
Least favorite song: Fly With Me

Tyler, The Creator - Cherry Bomb

This is quite the interesting style to be hearing from Tyler, I love it. The guitar and noise in it is so good, even if it drowns out his voice a little bit.
