I have never been a lorde fan and while this album didn't change that, I do think some of the criticisms thrown her way are unfair and unfounded. While this is most definitely an improvement over the disappointingly mediocre "Endless Summer Vacation", I'm not sure it's a big one. You can tell Miley is really going for it, this album is taking a big swing in asserting her artistry with bombastic production that clearly has a big budget behind it, but her ambition is just about all this has.

I listened to this before and hated it, but since i have been streaming Benson's two latest singles ("Mystical Magical" & "Sorry I'm Here For Someone Else") a fair bit, I thought I'd go back and give him another chance since I'd have a more open mind this time around.
