Good album! With some futuristic and rock sounding songs and heavily inspirational to the future generation of music with its iconic sound. The only thing I can really take off of this is the fact when I listened to it, it was not to my taste, and the instrumentals were dry and it didn’t start off as good as I thought but it finished strong but besides that it’s a good album
I might get hate for this, but in my opinion, Lil dicky isn’t even that bad of a rapper, he might have some very slapped missed but there not even like disgustingly horrible, it is an interesting album and I do think that he’s a good actor as well and no I don’t think he’s better than Kendrick or some shit like that and no I won’t zip up when I’m done HES JUST OKAY
Mid scrap songs from TPAB, some are funky, or lyrical but overall just leftovers, I understand if some were released as singles but some of these can be kept in the vault a few were unneeded
Best song: untitled 08
Worst song: untitled 04
This is a definition of babytron pretty much, he can be funny and groovy at the same time with songs like grab yo skates and milkman, pretty normal mixtape
I really see 21 Savage as always the side dish and the feature to songs while bringing the good parts in some songs sometimes he’s just not the star of the show and this album proves him as more than just some NPC is what he tries to get at and i would say it works somewhat
It might’ve been because the album slowly started getting dry at the end or to personal for him in songs like Temporary and somebody save me that don’t sound sad while being catchy like “mockingbird” for example, this album overall has a good premise though, it could be a movie ngl, it’s alright
Best song: Trouble, Brand new dance, & Lucifer
Worst song: head honcho
Damnnn this kinda alright, I like issbrokie and what she’s doing so far, sure there’s a few drops but there’s some hits on this, it sounds kinda experimental and not trying to hate since she gets compared to Darkie a lot but it kinda sounds like the small dark one where he was experimenting around, this is pretty alright tho keep going?
*DELUXE SONGS ONLY, NOT THE FULL ALBUM*
Pretty good, these sound like average songs off a great chaos with the impregnating bass and catchy melodys with my favorite songs being leather jacket and ss, pretty good ken
Lil Darkie and Christ Dillinger together make a great duo but there’s something in this mixtape I feel they did wrong and I’m not sure if I can find it or not but it doesn’t seem right, it’s just kinda mid, it’s an average new era Lil Darkie and an average Christ Dillinger album and that together just makes a normal mid mixtape
Best songs - Stars in the roof
Worst songs - we are becoming desensitized to violence & SHUT THE FUCK UP
This album was kind mid, the last like 4 tracks sucked, this is an iconic trap album especially for Travis Scott’s career with some amazing features with Andre-3000, Kid Cudi, Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd and more. But Travis has a hard time keeping my attention with these average Trap sounding instrumentals and Same sounding rapping on most of these tracks
Best: Goosebumps, Pick up the phone, SDP interlude
Worst: Guidance
It’s definitely not my favorite Dillinger album I know he has better especially since this is his first but it’s alright there’s some good songs, join Dillinger Archive
If you hate Lil darkie, my suggestion is to listen to Darkies newer stuff to atleast hear how he’s changed like on this EP or the future is dark, this is great I love how he could combine a loud experimental sound and a chill sound great job Darkie
there’s alot of sleepers but there’s some goodies, my hot take against everyone saying this is his best is that uzi has had way better
This album has this Minecraft ambience but it’s not as universal as let’s start here is and I prefer that album over this one only because there’s more sound in that record than there is this one. It’s very sleepy in some parts and there’s some cool songs my favorite being Twice. It’s just kinda Too ambient you know? They both do a great job on this LP tho
This album is honestly not bad, unpopular opinion but Blame Game is the best song on the album imo better than runaway it is what it is they’re both great songs tho, I personally think So Appalled is the worst song or Hell of a life they’re both mid really but overall a good album
Edit: I’m changing my review overall because I just got this album on vinyl and holy shit my fav song changes EVERY time, it was runaway, then blame game, then monster, now it’s lost in the ... read more
This might be a genre bias since I don’t really listen to rock but I just didn’t really enjoy this album, the most popular songs were the best ones and that’s really it,
