Okay…this is AOTY hands down…
Ciลnienie has been one of those hidden gem kind of artists who aren't very popular and even in music forms they aren't the most well known. Hell, even on bigger sites like Rate Your Music their most popular album only has around 1k ratings. While they aren't the most popular, they are still very highly regarded and rightfully so. They make possibly some of the most intense and chaotic Post-Rock one could ever come across. Seriously, ... read more
Wtf ts actually so goated dude what the hell…
Alright so my friend @SunburnedShirts dropped YET ANOTHER banger that I lwk didn't know released until I checked her AOTY artist page a few days ago and spotted two new singles released publicly which I didn't even know she released and they're for her upcoming album that'll drop sometime within late of this year (presumably December).
Her music is made entirely on BandLab and her most recent release which was the Demo ... read more
Another Post-Rock album by a trans AOTY user?? Huh??
Alright I wasn't expecting to actually check out an AOTY user album myself without getting bombarded with recs (I'm sorry to everyone who recommended their music to me i'm slow ๐) and this one is by AOTY user @decemberhunting . I just so happened to stumble upon this album so randomly after browsing AOTY on some random day. I presumably found it on an AOTY user's page of most recent ratings and the cover looked ... read more

Yeah…hot take ik…
Oh well, I'm only human.
Okay originally, instead of LCD Soundsystem's "This Is Happening", the 400th special review was meant to be Portishead's comeback album "Third". I decided to try it out for my special when @dac reminded me about it since they kept recommending it to me and I thought "dac you're a genius let's do it" and plus I wanted to listen to this at some point ... read more
Unexpected banger
Okay this is quite unexpected for what I usually do considering I normally do reviews on either Indie Rock, Shoegaze, Post-Rock or IDM albums or some miscellaneous RYM-core shit and normally they'd be more recent 90's-2020's records so this is completely out of my comfort zone. I don't think you'd catch me listening to an early 60's Rock & Roll album after like a year after my "old-head" phase.
A couple days ago, I came across The ... read more

Gah…
I really didn't want to do this.
Alas, it must be done. No one said so, it isn't a requirement. A personal choice yet a choice I don't look forward to.
What do I love about these special reviews? It's more "special" in a way? Commemorating on a milestone or event that I have ... read more
Alright finally got to get to that one EP I listened to at school like a couple days ago.
It's a boring yet sad day for me. Not the best day in my holiday so far and in fact my worst. I lost access to my YouTube channel which I had for like 3 years due to some administrator problems or some shit and the album I meant to review for my 400th special kept glitching out. Pausing and unpausing and shit was heating up. Seriously dude…this is just not my day…plus I had no ... read more
Baaackkk
Alright I'm having a one week school holiday (not including this weekend) and yk what that means? REVIEW SPAM!! Going to try to listen to as much music, watch as many movies, make at least one YouTube video, draw more, basically DO AS MUCH SHIT AS I CAN BEFORE EXAMS!! As well as studying ofc I need to grind so hard.
For today and yesterday, I'm staying at a hotel in Melaka just chilling and doing nothing. Kind of just wasting my time. I got nothing to do just laying in bed ... read more
After (not so) long, up and coming UK band Maruja is finally back this time with their very first LP!!
They've been really teasing us with this album, releasing 4 SINGLES FROM THIS ALBUM PRIOR TO THE RELEASE DATE!! Damn they really want to just get this out there.
On a random night, I finished watching "Good Will Hunting", reviewed it on my Letterboxd, added it to my top movies topster and decided to check AOTY and browse what to listen to after quite a bit of time since I last ... read more
Now…the finale of my friend @SunburnedShirts discography…
So far, this is her most recent work, her second demo album and third EP (Extended Play, Mini-Album). Her most recent and albeit just selected demos, I think it's easily her best work to date.
If you haven’t caught up to this discog dive yet, I've been reviewing my irl friend @SunburnedShirts music for the past days. Starting off with her first released true EP "Emoticons", her first demo EP and ... read more
Atp I'm just going to review all of @SunburnedShirts albums…
Alright ykw. I think it's best I listen to all of @SunburnedShirts EPs since yk I am her friend irl and it's nice to support a friend so might as well do it!! Plus I want to anyway cuz I've always wanted to review and go through a friend's discography.
This is @SunburnedShirts debut EP and first demo project. I remember her talking about this and seeing this EP from her during my time in the same ... read more
Oh @SunburnedShirts … how the tables have turned…
When I used to make a couple (low effort) Ambient albums in the past, I used to really push it out to a small circle of friends while I was attending an all boy's school last year. Mainly to @SunburnedShirts whom I knew in real life and was in said circle. I would beg her to review my (shitty) albums and would get excited whenever her reviews came out. They were honest and had good criticisms and also made me happy cuz I mean ... read more
Okay…unexpectedly one of the best EPS I have ever heard. The perfect example of "getting out of your comfort zone" .
Okay this EP, along with many other records, have been on my radar for so long and have ended up on my (not very) infamous listen list topster I keep mentioning in my reviews. This album is an oddball. It sticks out above the rest as it is an EP from a genre I have never heard of before and wasn't interested in prior and never really liked in the first ... read more
Yet another Japanese Shoegaze / Post-Rock fusion album!
Space Rock Revival is one of those genres I absolutely love but don't listen to much and it's mostly because there's a lot less well known Space Rock Revival out there that's easily accessible and easy to find without having to scour the deep depths into underground territory.
Luckily for me, on some random day, I decided to put in "Space Rock Revival" in the top charts and unexpectedly, I got met with this ... read more
Listened and reviewed this yesterday.
MOREEEE RAHHHH
Alright I'm just trying to listen to as much albums that's in my favourite genres atp.
Back in my "Citrus" review I mentioned how I discovered "Citrus" and some unnamed album on a post on r/Topster which really kick started me listening to a bunch of these albums in a streak. That album was actually this!! Alongside "Citrus", I didn't recognise "Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix" by Indie ... read more
MORE SHOEGAZEEEE
Alright, I'm bored so I'm just going to listen to whatever I feel interested in and a while ago I suddenly remembered about this record!! The cute cat album!! Checked around a bit and what the fuck…this is not only Shoegaze and Dream Pop but also POST-ROCK AND NOISE ROCK?? Ok…THIS I GOTTA HEAR!!
And I decided to listen to it during class while drawing a poster. Obviously it wasn't the most proper album experience since I was already doing ... read more
Okay I just NEEDED more things to listen to
I've been meaning to try some M83 ever since I randomly stumbled upon this album a couple months ago on here. It seemed very interesting too. Being Dream Pop, Ambient Pop, Post-Rock and Shoegaze aswell as Synthpop, Indietronica and Big Music. Might as well try it! And so I added it into my listen list topster and left it at that…and it stayed there for a LOOOONG time…
UNTIL NOW!! Today, I literally have all the free time I could ... read more
Holy underrated…
Okay…WHAT THE FUCK.
Shoutout to that reddit post in r/Topster which had this album (and another album I'll be shortly reviewing after) cuz holy shit that made me tap into this and wow I don't regret it.
I've always been meaning to try more underrated projects to spice up my taste a bit. Dive deeper into the genres I already love and thankfully that aforementioned reddit post did it for me!! Great an underrated Shoegaze / Dream Pop album with ONE ... read more
Genuinely one of the most beautiful Ambient projects ever made…
Listened to this yesterday. I did my homework for a little less time compared to yesterday (holy 4 hours…) and my goofy ass decided to put on YouTuber Ben Blume's debut and newest album "LIFE'S A COMEDY" which was…um…and so the day was ending and I needed an album to listen to. An Ambient one this time and not some low-effort crude Comedy Rap album like um…last one…
So ... read more
Goated video, erm…not so goated album…
Recently the YouTuber Ben Blume uploaded a video where he attempted to make an album in 30 days. The whole video is 1 hour and 30 minutes and goes into the behind the scenes of this album. The entire production behind it from recording, producing, making the album cover, conceptualising and daily activities and what not. It's a great video I'd recommend it. Very well edited.
I've seen one of his videos in the past (the ... read more
