Even fucking worse than their debut. With songs that blend in SO MUCH it’s hard to tell which is which. Literally no stand out tracks but probably one which is the closing track “Fate Of The Stars” which I can somewhat respect for being a proper album closer and trying to end of an album and tell a story but my god the rest are god awful sacks of shit.
Most forgettable songs in here like A Lady, Sacred Beast, You etc. I DON’T EVEN REMEMBER MOST OF THESE. They all blend ... read more
Extremely overrated, dopamine rush tiktok gen z music.
Atrocious and overrated progressive pop album. A lot of the songs are boring as shit take Banana Man and Be Born for example and there are countless repeated themes that blend the songs with each other.
Some are just filler like Haiku. This album is just bloated overrated tiktok high dopamine rush children’s music album.
As all bad and good albums do this has SOME VERY LITTLE stand out “golden” songs that are in most ... read more
This is an insane Jazz record which makes you feel these two things: INSANELY OVERJOYED and REALLY DAMN SAD.
I swear it will go from extremely funky and fast paced to slow and melancholy it’s amazing and don’t get me started on the third track Early Summer!! The longest song in the album! It’s like a checkpoint. It might be the best out of the six but all are just as good and comes very close to its level!!
Super underrated Jazz record that really deserves some eyes and ... read more
My final review for the day! Getz/Gilberto!! And oh boy where do I even start! This album is the definition of soothing. Stan Getz’ calm and relaxed voice just soothes me to my core!! It’s SO RELAXING!! And it DEFINITELY is one of the greatest jazz records OF ALL TIME!!!
We honestly need more bossa nova masterpieces like this! This is whole album IS THE DEFINITION OF A VIBE!! With songs like “Doralice”, “Corcovado” and the iconic “The Girl From ... read more
This is easily John Coltrane’s Magnum Opus album, his breakthrough album. Spanning a total of 32 minutes featuring 4 lengthy songs all making up the Love Supreme Suite.
This is one of the most important albums to me personally as it opened the door to jazz for me and coincidentally I listened to this on my birthday.
This is a conceptual jazz masterpiece touching on themes of spirituality, purity, religion and a divine and infinite love. A beautiful spiritual journey through ... read more
Snoopy looks so goofy in the album cover:3
Okay but in all seriousness I honestly don’t get how this album is considered one of the best jazz records of all time according to AOTY users OVER HEAD HUNTERS, BLUE TRAIN, HOT RATS AND GETZ/GILBERTO IS CRAZY!!!
Cuz this is def not one of the top 20 best jazz records of all time, might be top 30 or 50 tho but nonetheless it is still a fantastic jazz piece with songs like “O Tannenbaum”, “Linus and Lucy” etc. ... read more
THIS ENTIRE ALBUM MADE ME FEEL SOMETHING WTF!!! This album hit like a brick man.
Made me tear up ESPECIALLY IN EXIT MUSIC (FOR A FILM) oh god where can I even start on this masterpiece.
Most tracks are about 4 minutes but MAN does it feel like 2. Literally no bad songs in the album (let’s pretend Fitter Happier does not exist). Even the worst song in the album is good!!
It’s just a prefect modern art rock album. Not much to say and the final bit of sound that comes off this ... read more
Jack, I still don’t see an Elephant
Elephant is an ABSOLUTE BANGER!!! People mostly know it for the opening track “Seven Nation Army” because of memes but I swear there are songs in the album just as good if not better than Seven Nation Army (examples: Black Math, The Hardest Button To Button, Hypnotize, The Air Near My Fingers, Girl You Have No Faith In Medicine etc).
Meg White’s simplistic drumming style really compliments Jack White’s heavy garage rock guitar ... read more
“Saxophone Colossus” is the breakthrough album that rose Sonny Rolins to stardom. His groovy saxophone playing, everything is wonderful about this album! Very fast paced, upbeat and just like any other great jazz record HONESTLY A VIBE!!
As usual for a jazz record it includes 6-11 minute epics. Definitely not up with Miles Davis’ “Kind Of Blue” or John Coltrane’s “A Love Supreme” but this album DESERVES to be celebrated today! Such a vibe.
This is John Coltrane’s first masterpiece!! Blue Train! Honestly this album is such a vibe. I have nothing much to say it is simply a masterpiece!
The album kicks off with the self titled track “Blue Train” which starts with some simple saxophone tunes and 40 seconds in it becomes this fast paced jazz epic! The album ends with Lazy Bird and you would expect the song to be this slow paced track hinted at the title but NO! It is upbeat, fast paced and honestly A GOD DAMN ... read more
Tame Impala’s Currents took 3 years to make which is insane and it’s done by one guy in his home recording studio! All of it was worth it though as it resulted in one of the best psychedelic rock/pop albums of the 2010’s!
It’s a (debated) concept album that focuses on Kevin Parker’s personal life and break up. The album starts and ends with 6+ minute psychedelic epics, “Let it Happen” and “New Person, Same Old Mistakes”.
As with every ... read more
Will Toledo decided to re-record his original 2011 bandcamp album “Twin Fantasy” and it ACTUALLY IS A MASTERPIECE!! It might be one of the greatest albums of the 2010’s no joke and it is one of the reasons ROCK IS NOT DEAD!
This album constantly references other famous bands/artists such as David Bowie, Pink Floyd, Led-Zeppelin and might be the influence of the album AND IT SHOWS.
It starts off with this slow and quiet track “My Boy (Twin Fantasy)” and halfway ... read more
Nonagon Infinity might be King Gizzard’s magnum opus.
Seamless transitions, heavy guitars, lofi production and overall this album is an absolute masterpiece and the whole album loops which is insane!! Each track is amazing! Some are not good as others like Mr.Beat, Invisible Face and Wah Wah but when it hits, IT HITS. Robot Stop, Big Fig Wasp, Evil Death Roll the list goes on.
Though every album has its downs as it has it’s ups and for Nonagon Infinity it’s the weak tracks ... read more
Wilco’s Yankee Hotel Foxtrot starts and ends with two 6-7 minute masterpieces. It starts with a slow build up and ends on a whimper. It’s a fun little experimental country/folk rock album with bangers such as Kamera, Jesus Etc., Pot Kettle Black etc. You can feel the vocalist about to cry while singing which just makes this album wayyy better.
It feels empty in some parts like you’re in an empty and foggy city while others feel like you’re on a fun road trip. ... read more
Wish You Were Here is Pink Floyd’s second conceptual masterpiece and is a direct tribute to their former guitarist “Syd Barrett” who suffered from mental illness after heavy usage of drugs. It also tackles themes of the corruption of the music industry. People know this solely for the self titled track “Wish You Were Here” and the first part of “Shine On You Crazy Diamond” but the entire album is a MUST listen.
“Welcome to the Machine” ... read more
Animals is the least known album of Pink Floyd’s big four best albums but it DESERVES a listen. I even think this is better than TDSOTM or WYWH (sometimes. It all depends on my mood)
Animals is a dark and depressing album with heavy acoustic and synth usage and it moves away from that classic Dark Side of the Moon sound. It has such a dark concept touching themes of capitalism, society etc. I think the concept of Animals might be the most powerful of the four big concept albums.
Well ... read more
Another Brick In The Wall Part 2 is so overrated
The Wall! Pink Floyd’s final masterpiece. It’s an EXTREMELY ambitious double album with 26 songs. People know it just for Another Brick in the Wall Part 2 but there are soooo many other good songs other than that (Waiting For the Worms, Run Like Hell, Mother, Young Lust etc.)
The concept is very well executed. Though there are a lot of filler songs like Vera and Empty Spaces that knocks it down to a 95 instead of a perfect ... read more
This was the first actually good album I have ever listened to. My first critically acclaimed album I tried and it opened the door for me to Rock music especially Psychedelic and Progressive Rock. I would give it an 100 but due to it being overplayed I have to knock it down to 98 but it doesn’t change that it is still a masterpiece.
Edit: Y’know what I’m giving it an 100 for how much it shaped me as a person and influenced me. I don’t care about it being ... read more
