The wheel picked this elseq album and it's not that exciting as I thought it would be, it's more ambient but the type that drags on. It sounds beautiful and big, but also droning at worst. Nothing else happens and that's pretty unfortunate.
Tracks here range from fine to very good.
Stepping into the elseq territory. The wheel picked this and it's good. I don't typically do well with very long songs but they're good, unfortunately the proclaimed best track (by the AOTY tracklist) isn't the best, starts off absolutely strong but doesn't go anywhere, just leaves my mind and that's unfortunate... Still good though.
Tracks here range from fine to awesome.
New EP release from my friend and W?ST? founder, why did I add that part? Because I'm in that label. Anyways, it's pretty quaint, has very great production and atmosphere. Not what I expected from him but still pretty good!
Tracks here range from pretty good to perfect, mainly leaning on great territory.
You'll never be like Iglooghost with that cover...
Wow, why was I compelled to listen to this? I don't know but I was! I had high expectations, not a lot but some amount. I don't anything against the guy, that's for sure. There were like 4 songs that I didn't mind and at best the production can be pretty solid. But man the lyrical content is basically useless and absolutely nothing note-worthy in any way shape or form, because I swear it's the same topic or ... read more
Hey it's the continuation. Compared to the other one, this one is more pop oriented and less edgy, which personally feels weird because the story seemed very dark and depressing but here you get more cheerful melodies with very little bits of melancholic touch. AYL did kinda have the same problem with the first half having less dark tracks but it still had the edge in the second half, while ALB mainly doesn't nearly have the amount of edge as the other one did. The only thing that ... read more
Extremely hard-hitting and would go so hard in a club. I am not the type of person to go to a club because I am afraid of people but it makes me want to go there. I still won't but the feeling exists. Of course it's German by the way.
The only two tracks here range from awesome to perfect with Untergang being the best.
If I want Lithuanian rap on aux, this is the best choice. This is pretty weird but that's why it's pretty charming. Feels like a fever dream and that's one of the aspects I love about this album. Nothing else sounds like this. Certainly not perfect, at least in my eyes. At worst it can have a theme but then really go nowhere. This is still good though.
Tracks range from good to perfect, mainly leaning on pretty good territory.
Shiiiittt. Felt like I was stuck in a very hostile and suffocating place with nowhere to flee. Absolutely raw, abrasive, dark and unforgiving as hell. One of the most striking highlights in the Industrial Hip Hop scene. I was scared at first before listening to this but man was it SOO worth it after listening to it.
Tracks here range from awesome to perfect.
Ever have your personality temporarily changed after listening to album? This isn't the first time it happened but this one for sure did. Quaristice and Oversteps were slaps in the face that you can handle with ease, Exai is a full-blown knockout that will leave you hospitalized for god knows how long.
Since this finally got a must hear, felt like it was the perfect time to relisten to this huge album. Didn't click with me at first listen but MAN. These british guys decided to ... read more
This LP is good, nothing absolutely crazy but doesn't need to. The production is solid too. The main issue is that it can get boring and feels a bit too long. Otherwise, I respect it.
Tracks range from average to great, leaning into the good territory.
whar? I don't know what to write because I am left confused as hell. Yes, indeed experimental but also no sense of rhythm, overwhelming and batshit insane. I feel like I should rate this lower but it didn't feel so painful to me, even though the songs on this album become a blur. Very conflicting album.
Also hi @Lightshade
Tracks range from bad to fine, mainly on the ok????? territory.
From the ARG I thought this album would be suffocating in darkness, more dark ambient and overwhelming. I mean, in the first half that prediction wasn't on point but on the last 3 tracks, the prediction got more correct. The album is dark, even egregiously dark at points. After listening to "unclean." it was obvious that this album is not for the faint of heart whatsoever. Talking about that track, I don't know how to feel about putting a track with a depiction of self-harm ... read more
A random find on this website, saw that it had IDM as one of the tags on Bandcamp and thought I should listen to this. It's okay, but the amateurish production feels noticeable on some tracks. I don't know who Palace Lido is whatsoever but still.
Tracks range from ok to pretty, mainly on the ok range.
Very cold. Started off pretty cool then it gets too blown out. It's not horrible by any means but it's not so interesting or exciting.
Tracks range from ok to perfect, more leaning into the fine territory.
Since I enjoyed the second volume I thought I would enjoy this too. Unsurprisingly, I did! This is more sorrowful and less skeletal and distorted than the last one, focusing more on melodies and atmosphere. I love it a lot. The long 15 minute track didn't get boring at all and felt incredible. Would love to hear more from this guy!
Tracks range from great to perfect.
This Black Dresses album is fine, it doesn't stick with me a whole bunch. The vocals can be very jarring and same with the production, sometimes it can be a combination of both weak production and vocals. I see the appeal though.
Tracks here range from average to perfect, leaning onto the fine territory.
While I don't have the best experience with Digicore/Rage, this album wasn't bad at all! The genre is still not my fully taste but there can definitely be some outliers and this is one of them. I had a pretty fun experience. Doesn't mean it doesn't have its flaws, I still don't like the woofy bass that much. It isn't so bad because it doesn't take over the mix at least. This could grow on me eventually.

This Earl Sweatshirt album is good. The production is different than his previous album, sounding like something from the Doris era. I like it, can get a bit boring but it's still a neat project.
Tracks range from fine to perfect, mainly leaning on good territory.
Au and Techre are peeling this session. While in their discography this isn't so special or groundbreaking, I still wouldn't skip this if you are a diehard fan of this duo. First two tracks are fine but the last one, damn. It's a very great outing in this three-track EP, with a synth that is very trippy and can take you to a very weird fantasy world. I love it.
Tracks here range from good to perfect.
Every time I get to listen to this album I am scared because Bogdan Raczynski has a very unnerving aura and I don't know why. Maybe because he can make either great drill 'n' bass stuff but also whatever the fuck he wants. The latter is what was happening here because oh my god, me being scared was probably the most reasonable way to feel. The vocals are the most craziest and the worst part here, he is not a certified vocalist for sure. The most shocking part is that on ... read more
