Distorted Sound

This is Gaerea at their most vulnerable and fragile emotionally but strongest musically, not just reaching but exceeding everyone’s hopes and leaving your heart shattered in the best possible way.

Angry Metal Guy

Coma finds Gaerea at the top of its game, delivering a black metal utterly unique and compelling.

Coma offers up plenty of the weapons-grade, baroquely dynamic, inky venom, awash in the melodic charge responsible for the popularity explosion of its predecessors ... But at times, their exploration of sounds, moods and tones presents as willy-nilly and dilutes the album’s overall impact.

Is 2024 one of the best years for music ever? Yes, at least for me it is. Did every band ever just decide to release peak this year or what๐Ÿ˜ญ. I haven't gotten a break because of the amount of new releases this year alone i swear

A clever fusion of post-black metal, blackgaze and post-metal with some metalcore influence?

I really like the lyrics and the image the band created of themselves. No filth, occultism or satanism, just pure emotional suffering and introspection. It's no wonder that Gaerea stood out from the rest of the BM scene.

FAVORITE: The Poet's Ballet, Wilted Flower, Unknown.
