Dispatch have identified themselves as a mainstay in the music world because of their diverse sound and willingness to experiment. Bang Bang has only allowed them to grow, and they should continue to do so in future efforts.
I have to do a review of this album. It's from one of the most underrated bands I've ever come across, and features maybe my favorite song ever. The General is a brilliant piece of writing, that speaks to me on such a serious level, and is one of 5 or 6 songs I have ever cried to. The overall energy of this record is great- and I highly encourage all to listen to it.
Something about this album just makes me happy. Maybe its the ska influence. I was just shuffling my discovery one day (yea its sad that thats the only way I find new music) and the general came on and I was stunned so obviously I had to check out the album. Honestly none of them compare to that song but still a great album.
Try as they might, Dispatch will never come close to the energy of this record again. The loud parts are really fun, and the quiet parts are heartfelt. This album was a key part of my adolescence
