This is one of my (many) favorite current bands, so I was enthralled to see that they were releasing something new! This album has some great tracks! I would most certainly say that the overall album has the sound of a fellow who is smitten with romantic feelings like that of an anxious schoolboy who is writing an elaborate letter to his first love. I don't think anything will touch the album run The Kooks had with 'Inside In/Inside Out' through 'Listen'. Every album after has just been a reach to find that old spark again...and they have yet to find it.
You know what? Hell yeah.
they just know how to make good, easy to listen to pop music - and what’s wrong w that?
