Now let me start off with the fact that nu-metal was dead as fuck in the late 00s. Mudvayne last record and self-titled album is a major come back of the band to certain standards after the last disappointing record. Even if this album feels out of time for its sound, that really points directly to a more classic Nu metal sound, at least the band seem to have found again some inspiration that really lacked in their last work. This album sounds nothing like Mudvayne, and given this album was almost certainly the result of studio demands it shows. This album isn’t bad but there’s not a lot for people to come back to.
Highlights: Scream With Me, Dead Inside.
I really enjoy this album I actually see this as Mudvayne’s best album, I mainly enjoy Chad Greys vocals on this album and I also really like the guitar work and drumming as to me it seems like all of them are more developed on this album and and since they have worked together for so long they are able to put all of the songs together a lot better.
Small complaint is that I’m not able to hear the bass as well as in previous albums and the bassist Ryan Martinie was other than Chad ... read more
