Denigration fails to bring the hooks, a key to any good slam record, while also being hamstrung by terrible production, middling vocals, and a lack of creativity.
Regardless of skill I'm glad they re-recorded the vocals after dude was kicked out.
"Dragged Apart" opens the record, fairly ominous but typical entrance. The heaviness is pleasant, decent riffing. The vocals are fine, definitely more surface level. Some good punch in the red light/green light activity. The solo is chill too. Ingested brings us more of the same, standard deathcore.
The last time I took a listen to these guys was back in December when I listened to their most recent record at the time, The Tide of Death and Fractured Dreams. Despite me not having a problem with deathcore as a genre, even then, I found that record to be super boring and unimaginative.
