This is an album by the band Current toys. It is called 2013. It's acceptable. That's about it lol. I really like Under The Influence though.

I feel around this point, Nick started to find his sound. He seemed to know the direction he wanted to take Current Joys in and that direction would be a more gentle, atmospheric and acoustic project compared to the others. It's rough around the edges, that's for sure. A noisy collection of songs that seem to either lean more into the indie surf direction and others that veer more into a darkwave/post-punk sound reminiscient of Joy Division or early Cure. The most prominent aspect about this album is the noise, for sure. Whether it be the washed out vocals or literal walls of compounding sounds, the instrumentation seems to suffocate and almost snuff out the vocals at times. 2013 does feel more like a ... read more
