Her haunting whisper in Lamb cuts through the mix, giving the grooves an intimacy more attuned to smoke-filled jazz clubs than open-air raves.

The duo creates a startling tryst of electronic experimentation and traditional songwriting structure ... Barlow's beats morph and churn like some ballet-trained monster, while Rhodes' dramatic, smoky voice sails effortlessly overhead.

[Lamb] truly exemplify the fluctuating tensions between song form and jungle's undulating rhythms....bass guitar posing counterpoint melodies and Rhodes' dry, haunted vocal floating over the top.

I want to say this first and foremost, this album is a masterclass of the power quality production can get you. I have only learned about this album within the past 2 months and have slowly been checking out more and more of the music this album has to offer before finally caving and listening to this entire project yesterday, and I have to say my socks were blown clean off. There are tracks that have more of an emphasis on Drum & Bass production which works very well but there are some more great Trip Hop tracks. honestly this is one of the most unique trip hop sounds ive ever heard, this album is truly an experience to listen to and manages to keep your attention all the way thru just from how unpredictable it all is. not exactly my cup of tea but impressive nonetheless

A Trip-Hop/Drum and Bass masterpiece

i put it in the same class/tier as Goldie - Timeless, Tricky - Maxinquaye & Portishead - Dummy.

with the cesspool of music coming out today, albums like this truly show what being timeless & real artistic craft actually means.

Me gusto mas en la primera escucha, actualmente se me hace muy largo y considero que no tiene mucho que ofrecer.
