This album is rather unusual in the group's output, however, for the fact that the guys are still featured fairly prominently in some of the vocals, and for the variety of sounds -- including reggae, folk-rock, and hard rock -- embraced by its songs.

If Mamma Mia 3 doesn't have King Kong Song, I'm boycotting.

This is honestly the most musicly diverse ABBA has ever sounded. Sure it has standard ABBA songs like "Honey, Honey, Waterloo, What About Livingstone" but then weirder stuff like the rock song "Watch Out." Idk, it's weird hearing ABBA use electic guitars.

Scoring a middle-of-the-road 53/100 ABBA’s sophomore album Waterloo (Deluxe Edition) represents a big leap forward from their rough debut. It sits perfectly right in the middle of their catalog. A transitional record that offers a handful of okay songs balanced by a fair share of skippable ones, captured just as the group ... read more

ABBA’s first (international) album contains some solid songs (Waterloo and My Mama Said) as well as some just average songs (King Kong Song and Suzy-Hang-Around) that I can only assume would’ve been enjoyed more back home.
