How do you follow up an album like Structures From Silence? Because that’s something Steve Roach certainly had to do and he followed it up with what might possibly be his most pure Electronic album. Empetus is the 3rd album from Ambient legend Steve Roach and it’s a really good Berlin School album with blends of Space Ambient. This is a pretty good electronic album, that while doesn’t blow me away, and does have some moments where the production is a little off, but it’s a very consistent album, with some great moments in its sound. The instrumentation and sound as a whole can be a little predictable at points, but there are moments where the atmosphere is really set, and this album sounds pretty good for the most part.
