Malneezy is slowly but surely becoming his own. I wouldn't say Bipolar does anything wholly original, but what it does do it does well. The production in particular really has me impressed, with it sounding so rich and at times really beautiful. The album as a whole is really likeable, though there are still a few snoozers scattered throughout. In general the first half was much more consistent, with the first five tracks in particular being a non-stop run of really good song after really good ... read more
A pretty decent future garage sounding user-submitted LP (if I had to compare Bipolar to anything non user-submitted, I'd probably say early James Blake work but more ambient? idk). I admittedly wasn't too impressed by the first third of the album as it sort of seemed to drag, albeit the production and mixing were good, I just wasn't too engaged by it most of the time. But MALNEEZY quickly turned around for me with the fantastic Throwaways EP, songs that were so good it was kind of an insult to call them throwaways. My excitement for ... read more
Malneezy's sophomore album is a necessary shift away from the overly-conceptual It's Everywhere, It Loops. Instead, with the focus placed on creating some great music, we get exactly that.

Bipolar is 11 tracks and stands at 41 minutes in length, while each of these songs can be described as Ambient influenced House music, there's a rich variety of directions that are explored across the record. From the open and glistening sky that is One More Song, to the jagged, almost Daughters-esque ... read more
