Percee P is a super underrated lyricist and emcee in general. Any of his fans would know that. This album does more than prove that. I knew this was gonna be at least a 70 just something based off the fact that this album is produced by Madlib, but it managed to surpass my expectations. Madlib's dope beats, paired with Percee's outstanding rapping ability, just works way better than it needs to. Percee makes the pen bleed for sure, but I gotta hold Madlib accountable for his inconsistent performance behind the boards here. A few beats that are absolutely STELLAR, but not enough, and too much underwhelming beats in the mix. Some good features from Prince Po and Guilty Simpson, too, but I swear I'll swerve onto oncoming track if it means avoiding Vinnie Paz in my ears again.
