Incredibly dark and edgy but somehow endearing at the same time. Not a single bad track, and every one of them put Hammills incredible songwriting front and centre. I've spent too many hours on sofasound dot com pouring though the words and I'm amazed every time I do, because I find a new interpretation of Gog each time.
OG Review (score 73) : In Camera is good but feels like a weaker version of The Silent Corner and the Empty Stage in many ways. Nothing on here besides for the Gog/Magog ending really feels like the best that Peter Hammil can offer. The production is also a step under his previous releases with the it being a bit too metallic and slapbacked and not refined enough. It's still a good album but it's weaker than his previous albums but if nothing else listen to Gog.
