The album should act as a great launching pad to endear listeners to Stack’s distinctive style and hopefully a call for us all to pay a little more attention to the talent that is making the magic happen behind the scenes on some of our favourite songs.

It might be tempting to compare Stack’s solo output to something churned out by an algorithm, but that discounts his undeniably sturdy credentials. His production work is evidence galore of his talent and depth: he’s saved the levity for ‘EPHEMERA’.

At a sparse eight tracks, EPHEMERA is indeed fleeting and more of an EP release, but it creates enough of an atmosphere to easily play on loop as the night gives way to the sunrise.

EPHEMERA is a very interesting project created by Jim-E Stack. I found this album through the song "Jeanie" which I immediately fell in love with the moment I heard it. The song has this really interesting and exciting sound to it. With these airy synths and immaculate chords with a great Bon Iver feature where Bon Iver's vocals are used like a sample would be, with his vocals being chopped in.
