Value Select

it's very much instagram humor but it's really easy to appreciate. it's got a real fun vibe to it overall, and you can tell it was just a good time making it. humor aside, the songs are generally just good. catchy, well produced earworm music that's very accessible and easy to listen to.

p.s. i used to watch this guy a lot years back but i didnt listen to this until now lmfao

I got so used to his maximalist production on his later songs that I'm not used to these guitar only songs. Some of them are pretty good, but I think the fully produced songs like Hit Me With Your Car are clearly better. Some of these songs, like the Triple Bunk Theme Song also really benefit from the visual aspect from the youtube videos, where the joke doesn't land as hard in an audio only format (especially when most of these songs are under 1 minute). Doing a rereview because I have some more thoughts to give than "I was disappointed."

Value select is a comedy musician that has popped up in recent years and right now sits as one the most respected figures of the genre. I know comedy music kind of gets a bad rap in the community, but I do actually enjoy quite a few of his songs. That being said, this was not it man.
