Under the Red Cloud is a very good album and a return to form. The record simply sounds like Amorphis; the band has developed a sound that bridges the gap between their old material and the new.
The title track begins with a nice piano melody before bringing in the full ensemble. Nice vocal cadence and pacing, love the solos. Great track. The Four Wise Ones is more akin to modern Enslaved. Great melodies and harsh vocals.
I enjoy the riff in Bad Blood, the chorus is a bit average but overall the band is very dialed still. Death of A King is really fun, really enjoy the flute, this has a nice drive to it, solid work in the chorus as well. Sacrifice still comes off really well done, and ... read more
