AllMusic
This disc is, without a doubt, one of the best rock/pop albums from the 1980s and one of the grandest, most creative albums delivered by the ever-appealing and innovative duo of Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart. A true classic.

Attempting to test their efficiency in the arena of the mainstream, they change their look, they change their style and produce a bright, pop album, full of potential hits.

I don't love it, but this is a more likeable version of the 80s cheese that Touch had. I wouldn't have thought that embracing the new wave/pop rock side of their sound would play to their strengths. However, there's a few bops in the tracklist. There Must Be an Angel is easily the best song here.

a big downgrade from touch but its still kinda good ig. But just like with their debut, its pretty forgettable and kinda generic new wave (not to mention adrian is pretty weak icl) and thats really about it. there must be an angel is pretty good tho icl
