While I won't deny that this album is basically riff salad, it's got a political charge on it that shows a lot of ferocity. This rap djent album shows that Hacktivist still has it and that they're ready to take on the world.
Great album overall. Some absolutely filthy riffs had me engaged the whole time, which combined with the rap and screamed vocals to create an engaging album. The political themes are certainly at the forefront, giving the album an extra level of brutalness.
Favourite Tracks: Armoured Core, Planet Zero
FINALLY, a Djent band that actually does something unique. I don't think Meshuggah and Limp Bizkit should be mentioned in the same sentence (I love Limp Bizkit, but comparing them to Meshuggah would be delusional) yet alone combined but they manage to do just that.
The riffs are awesome and actually remind me more of Meshuggah than any other djent band I've listened to, and the lyrics are surprisingly politically charged and angry.
