Unless they change their artistic direction, Surfaces will continue to underwhelm, disappoint, and be drab.

2017's Surf was the world's introduction to the band, with a lo-fi production style that suited both vocalists, Forrest Frank and Alexa Padalecki. The latter left the band shortly after the album's release, leaving her brother Colin and Forrest to continue the band as a duo. They started out as a cute, lofi beachy group and this album they took a more soulless pop-trap approach that you hear on the radio all the time. Disappointing.

Favorite tracks: Come With Me, Come Around
Least favorite: Time Zones
