I didn't realise that I didn't review this album - it's a firmly fun listen and I didn't expect it to be as hated as it is. It's pop rock that Don Broco absolutely nail in the heightening of their career. As a sophomore, it's much better than their debut, by far, and is the epitome of fun that a rock band can have. Their music is an ear worm. It's not all 10/10, but it's a damn sight better than many other commercially generic pop rock albums out there, especially in the mid 2010's.
‘Automatic’ is the sophomore album of Don Broco, following the debut album ‘Priorities’. Now this is what I'm looking for.
Stronger songwriting and more creative ideas on the production side where every song is distinct from each other. Rob and Matt continue to be a dynamic duo of singers for the choruses, the songs themselves are fun to follow along to and overall a nice experience of an album. I may still have some gripes with the mixing and there certainly is a pothole here and there, but I do find this to be an improvement compared to Priorities, and I can't wait to see what ... read more
